This restaurant with chic décor and colourful interiors offers a never-before dining-cum-shopping experience. Like what you see and buy what you like is their guiding philosophy, thus enabling diners to select and buy furniture, art, crockery, while they enjoy their meal. But that in no way takes away the focus from the Pan Asian food, which is on offer - soups, salads, sushi, bao, dim sums, small and large plates, desserts. The varied menu offers dishes ranging from 'Black Fungus' and 'Bamboo Shoot Salad' to 'Spiced Turnip Cakes' and 'Shanghai Pork Dumplings' to 'Bang Bang Chicken Steak'. Plenty of vegetarian options available too. Fresh ingredients, pronounced flavours and aesthetic presentation, exemplify the food here. Do not miss the 'Quinoa Chicken Poached Dumplings' for their delectable, but subtle flavours. The 'Plum Golden Fish Steak' with fleshy and soft, river sole laced with a tangy and spicy sauce, is outstanding. The cocktail menu is inventive and the Plum signature cocktails like 'Hell Boy' and 'Dynamic Duo' are worth trying. The staff is a delight to interact with and the service is impeccable.
It is rare to find such a highly rated place and we had our eyes on this for quite a few months. The age restriction was a hurdle which took us a while to overcome, but we did and boy, were we in for a treat! The concept of the place has been talked about and it sure is innovative, though not sure how relevant. But the way they've done up the decor is really impressive and instantly attractive. It is actually a pretty small place in a sort of side alley, but given the glass walls, you never feel cramped. You do feel sitting in a uber-cool jungle with vibrant colors surrounding you. Very cool. The plum is not just in the name. They have some innovative plum based cocktails that are lip smackingly amazing. While that's not earth-shattering, what is, is the food. The sushi's were amazing and were presented very innovatively. Everything we tried, turned out to be awesome - what more can one ask for. Turns out one can. The reason for not the totally excellent rating is service. The server kept pestering (named Santosh) kept pestering us to order - there is a line between being prompt and overbearing. We had made a reservation which they did not confirm though the restaurant had empty seats for the over 2 or so hours we were there; had to utilize another reservation to make it in. But a definite find this one.
Plum by Bent Chair ❤️ An amazing Asian Cuisine restaurant which is gaining popularity day by day for its unique and delicious dishes. They serve some amazing Sushi and Dumplings which I fell in love with today after eating. Perfectly balanced dishes both on taste and flavours. Plum by Bent Chair - A great concept by Mr. Priyank Sukhija & Ms. Natasha Jain. The place serves some great asian cuisine. You can buy all the furniture that you see from their official website. They have used the shades of purple in their Ambience which is the colour of the Plum fruit. Overall the place looks great for a lunch. The restaurant has a very cool vibe. The staff is very friendly and helped us with the menu. The salad was really nice and the decor is also good.
Plum by Bent Chair, happens to be India's first dining retail restaurant. What it means is that, you no longer have to resist the temptation of "I wish I could own this glass, or a chair or a plate etc" when you visit a restaurant, while you are here, you can actually buy one or as many as you want. If Fine Dining is a term that excites you, than Plum by Bent Chair is ought to be on your list. There isn't a dearth of fine dining restaurants across the city, but this one surely leads the charts. Located in the heart of a bustling vicinity and surrounded by highly competitive brands , there's surely something distinctive about Plum which attracts people from every nook and corner. Ambience: Located within a massive property of about15,000 sq ft, which is shared between 3 brands, Plum by Bent Chair, Lord of the drinks and Rocky Cocktail Bar, out of which Plum shares the minimalistic space. Despite of its not so huge ambiance, the decor is jaw dropping. May it be the Dinnerware, Cultary, Artifacts or anything around it is absolutely flawless. Service: As always this remains to be one of the vital elements which either makes or breaks your experience. We were attended by Prathamesh who had a smile on his face throughout which showed how passionate was he about his job. He also had complete knowledge about the entire menu and in no time he understood our preferences and suggested accordingly. Kudos to you Prathamesh, keep up that smile and spirit. Cocktails: 1)Hellboy: This was first up on our list. It was an amalgamation of several ingredients balanced to perfection. Served in a gorgeous glass, this beauty was a mix of Kaffir lime infused vodka, fresh Kaffir lime leaves to add to the aromatics and flavours, Lemongrass to further enhance the flavours and add a soothing effect, Chilli to add a tinch of spice, Coconut liqueur for that extra sweetness, fresh Lime juice to balance the flavours and finally topped with a fragrant Pomegrante wine and garnished with a Kaffir lime leaf. Perfect drink to set the mood right. 2)Plum fusion Sangria: Sangiras surely would have originated in Spain, but adding a twist to them is something Andy(Head Bartender)and his team at Plum have mastered upon. At first it looked like a routine red wine sangria, but the magic of Dry Ice infused with rosemary completly changed our perception. The mild flavour of rosemary and the enormous freshness from the dry ice, made it taste like a heavenly drink. Food: 1)Crispy Mushrooms: Thinly coated garlic caviar crispy button mushrooms, well tossed in a Malaysian style Sriracha chilli sambal and crispy scallions, topped with fried noodles and spring greens. 2)Edamame and Truffle Dimsum: The first look of this dish made me fall for it. Made using boiled Edamame beans in milk and butter and than finely grinded, finally seasoned with truffle oil, salt and pepper for the perfect mix and stuffed into an ultra thin rice paper sheet. The dumplings were loaded with flavours and they were so soft that they literally melted in the mouth. 3)Spiced Turnip Cakes: This was an unexpectedly delectable dish. I was contemplating whether I should call for it or no, as I hadn't tried Turnip as the star ingredient in a dish before, but finally decided to order it based on Prathamesh's recommendation. Prepared using baked and mashed turnip dices, tossed with stir fried scallions, mixed bell peppers and spring greens. With the first bite itself I was pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend trying this. Desserts: 1)Plum Tropical Fruit Citrus Cheesecake: The look of it would deceive you to believe that it's an ice-cream, but in reality it's a Lime cheesecake. It had a good punch of flavours and was properly sweetened and garnished with a host of tropical fruits and finally had a drizzle of Caramel sauce.
