Taftoon Bar & Kitchen

We recently visited Taftoon in Powai and had a wonderful dining experience. The place has a vibrant and welcoming vibe, with a modern yet cozy ambience that makes it perfect for both casual meals and special evenings out.

The food was outstanding – everything we ordered was well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the starters to the main course, every dish was quite good. The flavours were rich and authentic, and we genuinely liked everything that was served.

The service was top-notch too – the staff was attentive, polite, and ensured we had a smooth experience throughout.

While the restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, the taste and quality of the food absolutely justify the price.

⭐ Overall: Great food, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely a place we would recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Two hungry people walked into the restaurant last night.. hopeful and optimistic.. and they left with their tummies and hearts 100% full just as they hoped (even had leftovers parceled for today). The ambience was wonderful and staff were very welcoming. Special thanks to Mr. Tejas and Mr. Shahbaaz for their showmanship with the Peer Dhuan Gosht and Kandahari Kubideh. Every bite of the food was filled with flavour and aroma that satisfied our souls. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch at Taftoon during a get-together with school friends, which also doubled as the launch of my poetry book “Knot: The Lifeline of Emotions.” (Available on Amazon) The ambience was warm and stylish, perfect for conversations and laughter.
The food was impressive, especially the paneer, and prawns which was served in a coconut shell, both flavorful and beautifully presented. The red naan added a fun pop of color to the meal. Staff was courteous and attentive, which added to the overall experience.
We ended with a kulfi mix served with rabdi. While I personally didn’t enjoy the rabdi, everything else was great.
Food, friends, and memories, Tafoon made it all come together beautifully. Highly recommended for a cozy and memorable dining experience!

Taftoon is a great place for lunch and dinner outings. Their service is class apart , one of the best I have experienced and for that kudos to them for such wonderful service. Staff here make sure you get the best experience, they also provided us with complimentary drink and papads for this very reason I am giving an extra star. Now for the food, we ordered galauti kebab and moringa samon and I must say flavours could have been better , Galauti Kebabs were too gooey which I didn't enjoy and samon although was cooked good but could have been more flavorful as flavours felt muted. But the sweet dishes/ desserts in this restaurant truly excels without a doubt,we ordered Sheriyak and Doodh jalebi which were so savoury and delicious which made our day. Ambience is good and interior is quite unique and beautiful. Dishes were on costlier sides but with dining partner discounts it's acceptable. Overall a good place to chill out.

Such an amazing place, food was even more incredible than I could have expected!!!! Amazing vegetarian choices. And the staff members were above and beyond!!!!! A perfect first night in india!!
Ps. The story behind the restaurant is also incredibly interesting! ?

Great food and even better service. We really enjoyed how our waiters helped to take us on a bit of a culinary journey.

They actually check for allergens if we request them (I have seen many other places where staff simply lies but here they actually checked). The place is spotless. The staff is very well trained- they know the menu well and suggest nicely based on our preferences. Especially the Marathi speaking guy- gave really good suggestions.
Chotey kulchey chole were amazing, Aushak was good too (don't get this if you don't like leeks), Khubani Badam Ka seekh was a hit too, Sofiyani Sabziyon ki Biryani was made exactly as requested, and the blockbuster was the rabdi jalebi dessert!

Taftoon have finally opened their doors in powai. Dropped by this today for lunch and hands down it was a fab experience. I have been a huge fan of this brand since the time I visited their Bkc outlet and the fact they are near to my place I was excited trying their new outlet as well.
Talking about the ambience it was elegant and the bar here looks absolutely stunning. Taftoon has been known for its amazing interiors and very well thought decor overall and same we can witness in Powai outlet too.
Moving towards f&b part, in drinks we tried grapefruit and mint cooler & Cucumber and basil mocktails which were quiet refreshing and could be the best option to quench your thirst this summer. For the appetizers we had
1. Dahi bhutteyan de kebab : Fresh and melt in mouth texture having corn , green and yellow chillies and having perfect spice balance to it. It's a must try.
2. Chatpate paneer tikka : Smoked paneer tikka having mildly spiced marinade on it and simply melt in Mouth texture it was fabulous.
3. Mirza hasnu tikka : chicken tikka pieces having that perfect smokey tandoor flavor and slow cooked to perfection with red marinade preparation. It was super juicy and tender
4. patthar ke kebab: very unique presentation as the name suggests it was served on a piping hot stone slab. This is honestly the best appetizer in chicken we have had offlate. You shouldn't miss out on this one if you are here.
Later for the main course we went for lal rogani paneer which was this semi thick paneer gravy having lal rogan oil on top giving it very distinct flavor to it. In non veg we had murgh musallam which was very well prepared in my opinion unlike other places it had that premium touch to it as it was topped with ghee, dry fruits and edible gold on top. Fabulous gravies and it went just perfect with our assorted naan platter which they made on our request (it had lal naan, baquerkhani & zafrani taftoon).
For dessert the captain recommended us to try shufta which is basically mixed dryfruits toasted in Desi ghee and stewed with lemon scented honey. It was served with two scoops of mango ice cream and almond shortbread. Incredible creation by the chef. Would definitely visit here again.
Taftoon is truly about having that authentic flavors of Lucknow, awadh , kanpur , Bengal and many such northern parts of India. The hospitality is indeed amazing and it's one of a kind experience.
