This spacious and luminous lounge bar spells opulence and yet, there is something inherently warm about it. The large and well-stocked bar at the farthest end is eye-catching. The seating area near the bar is casual, while the other area mainly for diners is staid and comfortable. One goes expecting some drama and theatrics as the name suggests, but there isn’t any. Yes, the menu is full of twists galore - their own interpretation of some Indian dishes as well as global ones, but being true to the ingredients and cuisine. Comfort food is the common thread that binds all sections of the menu. Bhatti Murgh Souvlaki is an interesting take on the Greek dish, with robust charcoal-grilled chicken served on a pita bread with creamy tzatziki. The Madras Curry Chicken Risotto perks up your taste buds and is worth a try. The fiery Konkan Thali strongly reminiscent of home food includes Pandhra and Tambda Rassa for the twist which is decidedly different. The Smuggled Cigars with Moong Dal Halwa stuffed-phyllo and luscious Rabdi is a treat for dessert lovers. The portions are generous and value-for-money. The staff is a bit sluggish but helpful nevertheless.
