What was once upon a time Bottle Bar has revamped itself and is now The Bar Terminal. Located in Fort, right next to the stock exchange, it is a great place to meet for drinks and dinner post work. The entire space is brightly lit up with low couch-like tables, as well as high tables with bar stools, and there is a small private room, well-stocked bar and, most importantly, plenty of room to dance! The crowd that comes here is usually looking for a place to unwind, relax and enjoy a night out post work. There is an extensive menu, but the only catch is that it is pure vegetarian.
One of the best place to enjoy nightlife in fort. The place is amazing with its unique and classic ambience along with full bar and live screening and music in the background. The service was excellent and prompt. Coming to the food- Starters and appetizers Jalapeno cheese poppers Grandee nachos(recommended) Pizza al vodka Cocktails Illusion - This combination of vodka, pineapple juice and Irish cream was my personal favorite. Lemon grass with kaafir lemon Majestic cup - This combo is for whiskey lovers with orange and peach juice and coriander leaves. Pasta Aglio olio pasta - This pasta tossed in olive oil and mixed herbs was delicious and worth trying. Main course- Mongolian gravy Singapore rice (The spicy rice with Mongolian gravy was a great combination) Desserts- Oreo mousse - quiet satisfactory Sizzling Brownie with vanilla ice cream - (recommended). One of the best Sizzling Brownies I 've tried in town. Was loaded with vanilla and quantity was surprisingly . Overall an amazing place to visit with your friends and family.
The Bar Terminal is certainly a place where creativity meets quirk! With its only outlet in Fort, Mumbai, this place is popular among the young crowd and is usually full during the happy hours. From the tables, to the decor, to the keyboard keys around the spoon holders, TBT has a very funky vibe to be in. Provides seating to a good number of people, it has an open bar counter accompanying with the dining area. We ordered the following: Mix Popsicle was a colourful fusion of Mango, Watermelon and Blueberry flavours in the Golas! However, the twist here is that it’s alcoholic. How amazing right? It tasted sweet as every popsicle does and is a unique way to get drunk. Carribean Ride is a mixture of Peach, gin, coconut rum, pineapple and orange juice in a glass and beautifully presented. It is served with a syringe. It had a tangy taste. There’s no wrong time for a Cold Coffee Freeze. The tasty and well whipped coffee was served chilled and tasted great. Risotto Sicilian was recommended to us for a twisty taste to the Italian rice. Unlike other outlets, TBT leaves the risotto comparatively raw which serves one with a different munch experience. Good mix of sauces and sufficient for two people. Bideshi Maggi is one of the popular dishes of TBT. To our surprise, it had zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and bell peppers. All this literally gave a Videshi stash to our maggi and is definitely try worthy. Ragda Patties Shots reminds you of that one foodstall that we wait to start in the evening aka Pani puri wala. A really tasty chaat of Mumbai is served in the form of shots. It tasted similar and we licked our fingers until clean. Cupcakes are cute because of its mini size and Mac n Cheese Cupcakes are certainly those. Macaroni and cheese combination never gets old and it being served in such a creative manner is what tempts one to try them out. It’s a dry serving moulded. The taste has no flaws to be mentioned. Overall, The Bar Terminal showcases signature curated cocktails and delicious food. The service was impeccable. Hope the review helped you in your visit.
Our home sharing club activity at The Bar Terminal was a great success! All members appreciated the choice of venue and spoke highly of the interiors. I saw them appreciate immensely the choice of snacks and drinks which went down pretty quick. To put the icing on the cake, the manager, Mr. Sushil, was very attentive and cooperative to all our requirements. He led the other staff to work along with him hospitably giving every guest the best service in the business.
TBT is situated next to the iconic BSE building, so locating it is not hard, once inside you can’t help notice the non-conventional but quirky interiors which consists of recycled items (From Motherboard to Pipes to Tires) being used in the making of their tables & chairs and lightings. Ambiance is soothing with not too bright lightings, spaciously placed tables and an interesting menu. TBT drinks menu has a wide variety of cocktails (Few Innovative ones here), Sangria, Beers & Malts, coming to what we ordered : - Smoked Kiwi : Presentation & Taste 10/10! Menu states Smoked Berry but since berries are out of season this was made with Kiwi, tequila & sour mix and tasted equally brilliant. (Recommended) - Unicorn : Presentation & Taste 10/10! Unicorns aren’t real but this drink is very real and refreshing, consisting of Midori, Sour mix, Orange juice blended with Vodka and topped with a slice of fresh Orange & Basil leaf. (Highly Recommended) - Love and Lock : Fun drink to be had basically 2 shots (Vodka based). Comes in a locked Cage, so once you finish up you can do a in-house version of the famous Love Lock Bridge in Paris by locking the same on the mesh fence put on the wall of TBT. - TBT Drink On Your Own Risk : The most potent of the lot; not for the light headed! A combination of Jägermeister, Whiskey, Tequila, Gin, Rum, Vodka & Beer – This once is bound to knock you out for good. (Recommended) - Whisky Sour : The egg yolk was missing which is the key ingredient for me since the place is a vegetarian joint but nevertheless well prepared. - Night to Remember : Vodka infused with raspberry with a light note of blue curacao; sometimes good things come in cute little jars. TBT offers simple yet classic dishes and has tried their hands at mixing few cuisines together which is an interesting take on things, coming to what we ordered : - Butter Khichiya Papad : Tried & Tested Chakna – A perfect accompaniment for your drinks! - Hari Bhara Maggi : Because nothing can go wrong with Maggi and this version was served with spinach, peas, broccoli & capsicum. - Pizza Puchkas : Fusion of Puri (Pani Puri wala) and Pizza toppings stuffed inside them. A good fusion attempt but failed to tickle my taste buds – Can be skipped. - Pesto Paneer Bhurjee : Loved the look and taste of this dish and the combination did tickle our taste buds. Paneer Bhurjee made with pesto sauce served alongside the cheesiest bun, loved every bite of this. (Highly Recommended) - Gangari Aloo : Baby Potatoes grilled in tandoor to perfection and served with a spicy marinate. - Jalapeno Cheese Nuggets : Perfectly fried to a crispy brown and oodles of cheese stuffed inside, a perfect accompaniment for your drinks. - Taste of India : No Frills of toppings or cheese overload, this simple classic Margherita with a touch of Indian spices had all the right things working in its favor. (Recommended) - Veg Hakka noodles : Again this one was a clean version of noodles with no additional spice and every ingredient was in its proper quantity, loved the simplicity & perfection of this creation. - Spinach & Pinenuts Ravioli : A perfect dish to end our dining experience; this came stuffed with spinach and served on a bed of creamy saffron sauce. Every bite was rich & creamy in taste and flavorful; loved every bit of it. (Highly Recommended) Ended our sweet cravings with Oreo Mousse topped with a Oreo biscuit and served in a medium sized Jar (Quantity serves 2), not too sweet but thick and creamy hence loved the same. Do make note they have a separate section for Sheesha and a Smoke room is available too which was a boon for me. Overall we had a good time at TBT, special thanks to Jivlal for his suggestions and hospitality. Definitely looking forward to going back to TBT for more memorable experiences.
"Where creativity meets quirk" The above statement gets truly justified when you enter this place. The ambiance and decor is mind boggling. I would highly recommend this place to all just have look at its ambiance. The keyboard tissue holder, bar decorated by colorful crates, table tops decorated by beer bottle caps, Heinz tins used for bulb shades, old camera chandeliers and the list doesn't end. The excitement when I am writing this is same as i was experiencing the decor of this place. What all we had: 1) Gangari Aloo - this is a must try. Baby potatoes with a nice punch of mustard oil. Balanced marination of spices topped with spicy mayo. Mint on top served with onion salad and lime. This is an amazing dish. This is very similar to Malabari aloo preparation, but very well presented. 2) Pizza Puchka - This is an amazing Indian Italian fusion of Paani Puri, Puris stuffed with tomato sauce italian hers, some lentils, vegetables and cover with cheese which is gratinated before serving it to you. 3) Crispy Corn Shots - Corn kernels deep fried mixed with vegetables nicely garnished and put in shot glass. The presentation is nice. 4) Oreo Mousse - This was a regular mousse in a mason jar, regular and nothing very great about it. Good to taste. What all we drank: 1) Smoked Berry - This a kiwi tequila based cocktail. To add on they pour cold fumes of dry ice in the bowl. Very unique in presentation. Has a sour and sweet taste. 2) Summer Dream - Vodka based cocktail with a fusion of passion and grenadine. This did not taste great as it was very sour. 3) Caribbean Ride - The presentation of this cocktail was amazing highlights being a drowning hand and a syringe. 4) Love and Lock - A unique cocktail. Its not a cocktail but 2 flavored shots made specially for a couple. Nicely presented with a burning candle and a lock on the cage. The lock has be later tied on the grill by the couple. The key remains with you and you vow to come back :P , :D Over all it was a great experience. The sad part was they did not feature tom and jerry screening which was a part of their events due to India Hong Kong Cricket Match. However they have lots of events so do visit it for some exciting experience. PS: I am not a hukka fan but they serve this too! ;)
Dazzling enough as it is, Mumbai is a city meant for adventurers. Different people have different names for Mumbai. Night crawlers call it as the city that never sleeps and the dreamers tag it as the city of dreams. It is also the city that parties all night, courtesy to all the happening bars located in the city. From the seedy dance bars to the fancy hotel discotheques, Mumbai has something for every party hopper. No matter how deep your pockets are Mumbai will not let you go bereft. ‘The Bar Terminal’ is one of those pocket-friendly bars that will let you have your share of fun without making you bankrupt. This youthful casual bar is located at Rajbahadur Mansion in Kala Ghoda, Fort, a busy corner of Mumbai due to its famous Stock Exchange.
The Bar Terminal is a tippler haven. Other than, their usual hard liquor suspects their menu also features wines, beer, aperitifs etc. Mixologist has fun with the menu by introducing his patrons to a series of delicious house concoctions. Unicorn, popsicles, smoked berry, lemon grass & kaffir lime are the hot favorites of the regulars. The Bar Terminal doesn’t let you go hungry by coddling you with an amazing spread of multiple cuisines. The only kicker is, the menu is vegetarian. Dive right into the menu with couple of appetizers. Tuck into, ravioli salad, tadkawali maggi, classic cheese corn balls, Indo Italiano fondue, achari tikka, spiced croquettes, mac & cheese cupcakes, jalapeno cheese nuggets and paneer tikka lasagna. For any leftover hunger pangs have, pizza al vodka, napoleon spaghetti, zucchini walnut broccoli lasagna, veg Manchurian, fiery tabasco pizza, fusilli spicy Cajun and stir-fry veggies in chilly soy.
Slurp on a thick milkshake alongside to get your sugar rush or pick between the two desserts they do offer – ice cream and sizzling brownie & vanilla ice cream. This place is next to the Mumbai Stock Exchange, which is a busy commercial vicinity. It’s because of that The Bar Terminal gets a lot of after office crowd. You will see many suits relaxing with a beer minus their ties. The Bar Terminal seems to have been composed with odd bric-a-bracs. Mismatched chairs, disposed windows, junk, old tape recorders, unvarnished doors, colorful plastic crates, typewriters, creates this cozy, laid-back, imaginative space that you seem to adore immediately. The bar has a youthful playful vibe, which works.
