Food

The Bombay Taco Company

The Bombay Taco Company is a restaurant in Bandra West, Mumbai serving Mexican, salad and fast food. Known for Mexican dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

This meal was truly excellent! I am visiting from the United States and had been craving authentic Mexican cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this restaurant, which offers flavorful food prepared with fresh ingredients and served with professionalism. Every dish I ordered exceeded my expectations in taste and presentation. Overall, I would rate my experience with six stars!

Ordered one starter, one main, and two drinks. The experience was quite underwhelming for the price.

The lychee ginger drink tasted almost like flavored water, and the iced tea wasn’t any better definitely not worth ₹350 for a small 200ml bottle.

The Kolkata mutton quesadilla priced at about rs600.. was disappointing too. For a premium-priced dish, serving mutton with unchewable chunks of meat waste is unacceptable had to spit out nearly half. The rice was plain and lacked flavor, no salt. Had to request for salt.

The only saving grace was the Malaysian curry, which was decent.

On the positive side, service was great warm and attentive staff..pleasant ambience. But food-wise, there’s a lot that needs improvement.

Overall, not worth the hype or price. Paid 1800 for two.

Visited this cute little place in the bylanes of Bandra.
We ordered:
Cauliflower and Mushroom 65 taco - 4/5
Kothimbir Vadi taco - 5/5
Prawns Koliwada taco - 4/5
Kasundi Fish taco - 4/5

Butter Chicken Chimichanga - 5/5

BTC Veggieful Nachos - 5/5
Kolhapuri Laal Thecha Cornribs - 4/5

Churros Crème Sea salt caramel - 5/5
Mango Fool - 4/5

The service was quick. The couple who runs the place was very warm and hospitable. Their food recommendations were on point.
Only drawback is that the place does not have a washroom.
Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely revisit!

Tucked in the bylanes of Bandra west, quite close to Guru Nanak Park is Bombay Taco Co. - where Mumbai meets Mexico in a taco fold. It is a small outlet serving some of the most innovative tacos in the city.
Kothimbir vadi tacos? YAS!
Prawns Koliwada tacos? YAAAS!
You get the drift, right?

I have a thing for eateries which focus on their unique selling product. Fuss free menu, comforting vibe, freshly cooked food (the kothimbir vadis are fried to order) - what's not to love! House made kombuchas is another best seller. We tried their pineapple and aamras kombucha and LOVED IT.

Aside of tacos, they also serve quesadillas, tex mex salads and churros. However, I prefer their tacos over everything else.

Bombay Taco Co. is vibrant and welcoming with its bright orange signage, colourful outdoors and tables, painted walls with a note from the owner. Very pinteresty! Full points for that.

If you are a mumbaikar who wants to show off what the city has to offer in the food space then Bombay Taco Co. should be on your list. My friend visiting from the UK was blown away by their kothimbir vadi tacos!

SAstainability:
(This section is for all those of you who make sustainable travel choices. I will let you know how to get to the destination using public transport. PS: I am aware that it is sustainability but it is coming from me hence SAstainability.)

The closest bus stop is Moti Mahal at Turner road. Bus no. 56 works perfectly fine for all those travelling from Worli, Prabhadevi, Dadar, Mahim or from Santacruz, Juhu, Versova. Alternatively you can take the train. Get off at Bandra station. Take bus no. 220 or 222 to Moti Mahal stop. Bombay Taco Co. is a 2 mins walk from Moti Mahal bus stop.

Visited this cute and artsy place with my best friend, and it honestly turned out to be such a vibe! We ordered the non-veg tacos, cheesy fries, nachos, and a pink soda on the side — and every single thing tasted absolutely fabulous. The tacos were the real highlight for me — juicy, flavorful, and packed with the perfect desi twist. The fries were loaded and cheesy just the way we like them, and the nachos had a good balance of crunch and toppings.

The ambience was cheerful and welcoming. It has a colourful and relaxed vibe. I liked how the walls were decorated with photo frames and little details that gave the place a creative personality without overdoing it. It felt cozy and fun, just right for catching up with friends.

The service was smooth the staff was polite and everything was served pretty quickly. Their outdoor seating is a great touch, especially if you want fresh air or are visiting in the evening. And being pet-friendly is definitely a bonus for animal lovers.

Me and my bestie really enjoyed the food and overall vibe. Would definitely visit again if I’m in the area - and yes, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a chill, good-tasting spot.

This place is doing mexican food with indian flavours..I tried their
●PRAWNS KOLIWADA TACOS:tacos is filled with crispy and spicy prawns with creamy sauce..this is where coastal mumbai meets tacos.
●CREAMY SAUCY NACHOS:This one is my absolute favorite..I have never tasted nachos this good...it was something else.
●KOLHAPURI LAL THECHA CORN RIBS:If you love spice and bold flavours...this is must try.
●BUTTER CHICKEN CHIMICHANGA:creamy chicken cooked in makhni sauce wrapped in tortilla with other creamy sauce...you will love the tangy and smoked flavour of chicken.
●POPPING BOBA ICED TEA:this was very refreshing with a twist of popping boba. They have many options in drinks.
●CREAME CARAMEL CHURROS:small mini churros comes with a dip...perfect end.

Bombay Taco Co. is a delightful fusion of global flavors with a unique Bombay twist. The tacos here are unlike anything else—packed with vibrant, fresh ingredients and bold spices that elevate each bite. The creativity in their menu is evident, blending international elements with local street food influences, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The flavors are playful yet balanced, delivering a punch of taste in every taco. Whether you're a fan of fusion cuisine or just looking for something fresh and exciting, Bombay Taco Co. is definitely worth a visit. A must-try for all food lovers! ?

A very small restaurant, 4 tables inside and a small outside area. The kitchen is next door.

The food choice is ok for the size of the restaurant.

The staff, one waitress took care of us. We were the only guests. She was friendly but after serving the food no attention if we needed anything else.

The food was mexican style and the quality was fresh and good. Unfortunately I asked for a non-spicey version but in the end it was served with lots of chillis inside so that I couldn't eat at all. Could be made better.

From the price side, it's super cheap. 2 water, burrito, tacos and fried mushrooms for 1194 rupees.
