Set in a posh hotel close to the city’s airport zone, this lounge-bar is mostly a warm-toned affair, with an ambience composed of reds, purples and deep oranges, set off by pristine white curtains and dim blue lighting. Abstract wall fixtures, little couch cubicles, ottoman seating and a glossy wooden bar – stocked well with flavoured rums and vodkas, single malts, scotches, Irish whiskys, Indian variants, aperitifs, liqueurs, wines by the glass and bottle – complete the set-up. There is an extensive list of creative starters, largely of the Pan-Asian, Indian and Tex-Mex persuasions, most of which work well as accompaniments to spirited beverages. The Vietnamese spring rolls are one of the healthier options, as are the chilli garlic mushrooms tossed with a white wine sauce and paprika, or the tandoor chicken wings in a green masala with raita and mint chutney. If you want something a wee bit more filling, the roomali wraps with chicken tikka, or the pizza topped with tandoori chicken and mango might be the way to go, but if you are in the mood for Oriental fare, the conzy crispy fried lamb, Chinese bao and Philadelphia spicy cream cheese sushi rolls are lovely options. There is paneer tikka quesadillas with green chilli sour cream, too! The mains largely comprise sizzler combos with a variety of sauces and sides to choose from - while the Indian sizzlers arrive as kababs with rice, doused with sauces like a white shahi gravy, the Continental list serves you a series of grills, with accompaniments like rose, pesto or mushroom sauce. The Asian menu has proteins tossed in sauces like hot garlic, teriyaki, hunan, lemon chill and hot blackberry, making for a mix of several interesting flavours.
