With an outdoor space featuring a bunch of bright orange and yellow leather chairs and minimalistic décor that is nothing to write home about, this Hotel Hindusthan International restaurant shares its kitchen with the more renowned Eye Club. Perhaps that could be the reason why the menu is not overwhelmingly original, but caters instead to those expected basic but delicious Indo-Oriental fare. Stick to the ‘standard’ stuff here – start with their soybean dumplings followed by the three treasure mushrooms braised in schezwan sauce (hints of spice and bursting with umami flavour), accompanied by some crispy burnt garlic fried rice with chunks of chicken and bits of fried egg, and fried ice cream served with a special secret sauce to finish things off.
