The calm, green interiors here make for an excellent place to unwind over sumptuous Italian fare. The thin-crust pizzas are light but sinful – try the kensu (pineapple, ham and onion), tarantina (assorted fresh fish, prawns capers and parsley) or patapazza with French fries. Delicious antipasti include the beetroot carpaccio with rucola and caramelised walnuts, a toothsome variety of crostini, tenderloin carpaccio with parmesan shavings and an extra virgin olive oil drizzle, and fresh prosciutto. In primi (first course), there is all manner of pastas – pillowy gnocchi in a carrot-bacon-sage-cream sauce, spaghetti with meatballs, tortelloni stuffed with salmon in a cream and white wine sauce, and an al polpo di granchio of pasta with crabmeat and a hint of parsley-cream-tomato sauce. For mains, the broccoli-cauliflower cheese bake mingles on the menu with chicken breast in delicious avatars: medallions, involtinis, chops, grills, fillets and more. End with the torta di mele (cinnamon apple-stuffed puff pastry), carpaccio di ananas (pineapple shavings, with ricotta and cinnamon cream) or cannoli Siciliani (crunchy pastry tubes filled with chocolate cream, ricotta and cinnamon).
This hidden gem is a place you have to go looking for down the end of a lane. I wouldn’t have gone there if not for a friend guiding me. What an oasis. It’s outdoors dining area is so serene full of trees and plants. The menu is extensive. They do breakfast and they do it authentic for western food. I went twice I loved it and the staff were really helpful. I had to return a dish as I couldn’t eat chilli and they had no issues replacing it and not charging me extra. They also have dietary requirements covered too.
Decided to try somewhere new and plumped for Dario’s. Really lovely find in Kalyani Nagar and both food and service were excellent. There was no pressure selling and expectation and it is a lovely place simply to go as a couple, both expat and local
Loved the food, and the refreshingly quiet ambience! The soft music in the background & the extremely warm service added to the charm.
In Pune, Banglore, Mumbai many pseudo european restaurants have opened up in last 5 years and Dezio is again one of the pseudo italian restaurants. None of their dishes are authentic Italian tasting , ingredients containing items; but just local food cooked with some Italian sounding virtual look. Similar to so called pseudo chinese restaurants have sprung up all over India, now it is the turn of pseudo italian restaurants. Little Italy is far better than this in similar menue.
Dezio is a nice laid back place, with good food... largely italian. The food is good... pretty much everything we ordered was good. In particular, Pizza and grills. The restaurant has a friendly staff, good service and easy ambience. Recommend.
If you are in a mood for some nice Italian food, you must try out Dezio located in Noth Ave, Kalyani Nagar Pune. This casual dining place is ideal for having pizzas and pastas. The ambience is contemporary. The minimalistic decor of the place makes it a nice option for dinner date. This is not one of those noisy places where you have to shout to get heard. You can come here for a cosy evening with friends and family. Potted plants beautify every nook and corner of this restaurant and small tea light is places on all the tables. The place does not give a cramped feel. It is an air-conditioned restaurant and also offers to the guests’ facility of home delivery and takeaway. You can choose to sit either outdoors or indoors as per your choice. There is a small bar where you get very nice wines and cocktails. It is open from 11.30 A.M. to 11.30 P.M.
The place offers a superb dining experience with wide array of dishes such as Carnazz, Cornetti with your choice of filling, Caprese, Massaro, Milo, Madonie(Beef burger). Desserts include delicacies such as waffles served with honey, homemade jam and cream, chocolate sauce, Tangy Lemon Tart, Tiramisu, Hot Chocolate Brownies etc.
As far as service is concerned you will without any second thoughts come back satisfied from Dezio. The pricing is little on the higher side and you get meal for two people for between INR for about INR 1800. Portion size is good and you get bread basket along with your order. Atmosphere is laid back and place presents perfect blend of good food and nice ambience. It is better to get your reservation done in advance as weekends are usually heavily booked.
