For a quick and non-fussy meal of North Indian food, head to this small joint with its bright neon green chairs and stalls and overall unassuming interiors. Order a cool glass of chhaas while you browse a menu full of vegetarian starters such as bharwan aloo stuffed with paneer, nuts and spices, hara bhara kababs of spinach, chana, dal and green peas, tangy karari makai (crispy baby corn) and more. The special Makrana tangdi kabab comes coated with secret spices, while the murgh methi malai kabab brings together two traditional favourites seamlessly, as does the reshmi seekh kabab. Mutton lovers may rejoice as their Peshawari boti, galouti, gilafi seekh and shammi kababs are all spot-on; seafood aficionados could dabble in their mahi sarson tikka or ajwaini jhinga kabab. For mains, their Amritsari kulchas are excellent to sop up creamy paneer shahi, dingri-mutter-kaju subzi (mushrooms, peas and cashew nuts), shredded paneer khurchan, rajma masala or pindi chana and achari bhindi. Non-vegetarians could opt for onion kulchas to couple with egg masala, kadhai murgh (with red chillies and pounded coriander), tawa mutton, classic butter chicken, fish kalia or methi dum jhinga. Finish with their indulgent crisp malpua drowned in rich rabri, and you will be a happy camper.
