For mains, sample their mutton Nagpuri handi, which is tender lamb meat in a fairly spicy, runny gravy, or switch to a ricotta and spinach lasagna or maybe even some Vietnamese ginger chicken with herb rice.
Recently Post 91 celebrated their 5th Anniversary, And It was amazing to be a part of their celebrations. Post 91 is a place to celebrate the new India. There's a list of obvious things that happened to India in 1991: initiation of privatization, FDIs, tax reforms, deregulation. Post 91 is about creating and powering the economic abundance we joyfully partake in everyday unrestricted by ideas or capital. The young, energetic and confident team serves an eclectic array of food and unbelievable variety of wines and beverages at the bar. Post 91 is Located at a stone's throw away from DMart at Baner Road, and invites the locals to a casual dining ambience. The wide selection of spirits and beverages piques a foodie's interest and complements the meal perfectly. The venue offers a rooftop premises as well as an indoor dining area, both of which are impeccably designed. After this amazing restaurant turned 5, They called out for a bloggers table and I was invited for the same. Given below is a list of the few drinks and dishes that I got to try my hands on:- COCKTAIL:- Post 91 Punch (160 INR):- A perfect blend of Orange, Pineapple Juice and Lemon Juice is not just good to taste but so gorgeous to look that It certainly brought my jaw to awe. MOCKTAILS:- Guava Marry:- A blend with guava became interesting with a hint of spice in it. Mango Bang:- This thick mango blend can make your day, A sweet but not so sweet sip of this beauty can make you the master of AAMSUTRA. VEG STARTERS:- 3Idiots:- One of the major munchings of this place and the most ordered item on the menu as claimed by the Chef, this crunchy mixture has Chickpeas, Corn, American Peas with garlic, Spring Onion and Coriander. Jalapeno Cheese Cigar Roll (290 INR):- Spring rolls have just been yet another item on the menu from the places I've been to unless this place made something amazing out of this dish that was made from Jalapeno and cheese wrapped in a paper thin wrapped and fried that not even the rolls, I was licking on the dips, yumm. Chuppa Rustam Kebab:- You must be wondering about the name, so was @theseptemberqueen unless she asked the chef for the same and We were surprised to know that the dish had cheese hidden inside and thus the Kebabs were Chuppa Rustam, lol. Honey Chilli Lotus Stem (260 INR):- This was probably the first time when I had the Lotus Stem, These fried Lotus stems were tossed in honey chilli sauce and brought a great crisp to the table. NON VEG STARTERS:- Avocado Chicken Kebab with Salsa:- I like Avocado, I like Chicken, and I like Kebab, saying more of this will be an unnecessary effort to be taken. Sichuan Chicken Chizza:- Well, As Always I'm a burger boy, and I prefer buns over pizzas. But, this pizza was a must try like an appetizer. Instead of bread, the base of the pizza is a tender chicken piece with a topping of Sichuan layer, OMG that taste. Peri Peri Grilled Fish (360 INR):- Honestly speaking I've not been a fan of Fish since my Childhood and Prawns have always been an excpetion. But given a chance, I've always loved fish to be soft. Hence while my fellow bloggers were asking for the fish to be more grilled, I was excited and happy to find such soft bites to be fish and made so yummy that can easily set your taste-buds dancing. Prawns Tempura:- I cannot speak more on how much I love Prawns, but I should not forget to mention that The Japanese Tempura batter that it was deep fried in made my never ending love for Prawns a memory to cherish forever, Damn that crunch is still so fresh in memory. SOUPS:- Potato & Leek Soup (170 INR):- This is the most romantic love story ever, The humble potato marries the sleek leek in this velvety ceremony. Chicken Tom Kha (190 INR):- This is a story of compromise, This thai speciality has a dominance of coconut milk but still stays together to give out a taste no one could expect because they know they should not be apart for they make the best soup in the world together. SALADS:- Warm Chicken Salad (250 INR):- This salad had to be my favorite as it served Grilled Chicken Strips on bed of lettuce, cucumber, spinach with cheese in basil & coriander dressing and made my Chicken more amazing. Waldorf Salad (180 INR):- You must want to throw me out to this restauraunt and every other place that serves food if i said I don't like fruits either. But It's true, not completely but a part of me is still getting used to this blogger perfect appettie, But The magic happened at Post 91 when I took bites after another when they served me this salad which was nothing but a bowl full of Diced apples mixed with Eggless Mayonnaise, celery and topped with Walnuts.I wish @freakyfoodiepune was here to witness this another milestone after they cuaght me red handed at the Mango Murder. MAIN COURSE:- Post 91 Special Pasta (360 INR):- This is a reallly special recipe as to have Creamy bechamel with a varied combination of olives, sundried tomato, chilli flakes & basil. Béchamel sauce, also known as white sauce, is made from a white roux and milk. It has been considered, since the seventeenth century, one of the mother sauces of French cuisine. I could not be more delighted to have a really good pasta after a very long time of a daily repeat of Mac N Mayo, lol Tandoori Chicken Tikka Risotto:- I call it a delightful combination while Chicken Tikkas go on a aromatic affair with the delicious Risotto, Chef has made this nicely delicious complicated here at Post 91. Chicken Stroganoff (390 INR):- Classic Russian chicken stew with mushroom and sour cream served with herb rice is my kind of thing, maybe, lol. Murg Patiyala:- Not even in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined the existence of a chicken wrapped inside the egg roll that is to be found inside the gravy of a traditional North Indian Chicken Recipe. But As happy I was to find out about this, having to bite onto the chicken and egg roll became a dream with the nostalgic gravy. Veg Shaam Savera:- Shaam savera literally means evening-morning showing the contrast of colours in the koftas (dumplings). Originally the recipe is made with paneer (cottage cheese) balls coated with a layer of dark spinach to make the koftas and tastes like heaven, so was the taste of the one at Post 91. DESSERTS:- Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice-Cream:- Apple pie knows no seasons and Loaded with fresh tart apples & topped with brown sugar, cinnamon and a surprise of Vanilla Ice-Cream on top is the reason why it shouldn't anyway. Blueberry Cheesecake (180 INR):- I must start with saying that it far surpassed any cheesecakes at any restaurant. The texture is amazingly smooth and the semi-tart blueberry topping is a perfect match. Chocolate Mousse Cake:- Smooth and creamy chocolate mousse, all covered in chocolate whipped cream is a classic. It is the perfect light dessert recipe and brings your meal at Post 91 to a perfect end. Pink Guava Kulfi:- I've loved kulfi like always, I can probably not be able to share my Kulfi Stories and finish them all in a day. After trying Kulfi in so many flavors at so many places, This is what I was expecting to come my way for another story, The strong enough taste and aroma gets a spicy twist as you bite into it and that's what makes it yumm. Mango Praline:- Mangoes make a great dessert and trust me It hasn't been a long time that I've realized, you may ask @freakyfoodiepune if you want. And Just bringing the creamy mango sauce to you in the form of Mango Praline is a way to make you do all sort of Mango crimes. Post 91 is a perfect place to unwind over a few drinks and delicious food. It has a simple yet extensive menu that offers a wide choice for vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food lovers. There is no live music, dj and dance floor where as zomato and eazydiner every where its mentioned incorrectly. Its typical family restaurant and staff mentioned only in partiesdj will be available.
Have visited this place ample of times...rof top gives superb view of city. Sports bar is good to hangout with friends. Food is nor tat good Overall good place
A group of 9 creative souls visited Post 91 on a pre booked Sunday evening Mocktails Mojito was nice the Blue Lagoon needed extra dash of soda Veg n Non Veg starters were in paneer kebab cheese ball chicken roast fish soft cooked mutton sheekh kebab Soups and salads were also superb Main course had 4 non veg and 3 veg choices All extremely delectable We enjoyed ata lot
We visited this place for buffet dinner. It was a decent spread of buffet. The taste was really good. Paneer served here was absolutely awesome. We get special service by Mr. Narsimha Kamanboina and we are very pleased with his prompt attention. A huge thanks to him and good wishes to Post 91
