A casual dining restaurant located in Camp Area, Pune. A well-lit space with simple yet elegant interiors, minimalistic décor and comfortable seating arrangements. They offer an eclectic menu of multicuisine along with some lip-smacking mocktails. Some of their must-have dishes are 'Cheese Corn Balls', 'Paneer Makhanwala', 'Butter Chicken', 'Murgh Nawabi' and 'Paneer Malai Tikka'.
Sim's Kitchen is a little over a year old right next to a beloved coffee house in Camp. When it first opened, the food and service was excellent and the sign outside noted that it was a "fine dine" restaurant. Last summer I ate there several times and enjoyed my meals. Today as I had an appointment in Camp, I decided to have lunch here. The table where I sat was covered completely with Saran wrap and it was not neartly done so bunches of the film were visible at the edges. The waiter said that the table tops got stained and this was the solution. I thought it looked tacky. The menu is multi cuisine with over two hundred items. God help the cook! Salads, Chinese, Continental, Tandoori, etc. As usual, I played safe and ordered half a tandoori chicken and a butter naan. The chicken arrived with fanfare. The chicken legs had tinfoil as the frills instead of curly paper. A salad accompanied the dry ordinary tasting chicken. The naan was excellent - thin, crisp and chewy. Simply yummy. A disc of chilled mango kulfi was my dessert of choice and it hit all the right notes. The service needs polish. The floor near my table had crumbs from a previous diner. I pointed it out and the waiter just looked at it for a while. Finally what seemed an age a sweeper came with a mop and cleaned it. A table near the front had bottles and various dishes in disarray when it could have been nearly arranged. . Sim's could be a good restaurant if it paid attention to the details that make up a "fine dine" restaurant instead of masquerading as one.
Decent place, opp. Sha mall next to coffee house....chicken tandoori was ok, veg kofta was too less a portion. No filtered water....overall ok
