This lounge-bar has an eye-catchingly busy décor – the dominant pattern being the synonymous ‘eye’ logo scattered aesthetically over the premises. A plethora of classic cocktails are available, enjoyed with a platter of nachos with chipotle salsa, cheesy jalapeno poppers or crunchy potatoes done three ways. In winter, the rich mushroom cappuccino with truffle cream and shitake flakes is a good starter, while in summer, the melon and feta cheese salad with Vietnamese dressing is the way to go. While an elaborate Mughlai menu can be contemplated, the lasagna – cheesy, tangy with fresh tomato sauce, full of char-grilled veggies and served with foccaccia buns – is soul-satisfying. Another tasty creation is ‘The Eye’ Club, a double-layered sandwich of fried egg, bacon and chicken tikka shreds for a desi twist. Also sample the gosht chapli kababs (subtly flavoured with rose petals), superbly spiced Pindi chana or spicy rarha gosht, with a fresh tandoori roti.
