Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant

I visited Anjappar Chettinad Non-Veg Hotel and ordered Mutton Biryani along with Mutton Bone Soup. To my absolute shock and disgust, the biryani contained small worms. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe for any restaurant, especially one serving non-veg food.
Hygiene standards are extremely poor. The washroom was dirty, unhygienic, and badly maintained, which clearly reflects the overall cleanliness of the hotel.
This was one of the worst food experiences I have ever had. Serving contaminated food can seriously affect health. Management should take strict action and improve cleanliness immediately.
⚠️ I strongly do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Please avoid.

Visited Anjappar, Indiranagar for dinner and tried Boneless Biryani, Veg Fried Rice, Kulcha, and Butter Chicken. The food was just good, but it didn’t really bring out the authentic Chettinad flavours the brand is known for(Biriyani). The dishes felt more like standard fare than traditional regional cuisine.

The location is convenient, and the ambiance is decent, though nothing remarkable. Overall, it’s a reasonable option for a casual meal, but don’t expect a true Chettinad dining experience(based on what we had, because variety of chettinad style food we aren’t tried)

This is the worst restaurant ever! I ordered paneer pulav and they had made fried rice with some big rice grains that you usually get outside for cheaper price. Quality and quantity was the worst. Bland, but it was little sweet because of the paneer and carrot. Such a low quality and they charge 299rs for this one. At least have some shame. Teach some etiquette to your staff and do your job right. You guys are not giving food for free. Do the job for what you charge. Will never ever order from this disgusting place. Unhygienic and pathetic service!

T’was a mixed experience. The South Indian flavors were authentic. The service was good but a bit slow, especially during peak hours. The ambiance was pleasant but could use a bit more attention to detail. Overall, it’s a solid choice for South Indian cuisine, but there’s room for improvement in service and atmosphere.

The food was very very bad... Really had a expectations on food.. very worst and we ordered mutton biryani and anjappar chicken dry something... It was both very worst worst .. never had a bad experience.. I don't recommend at all to any one.... Will had pics also

Service was good. But quantity of food according to price made us to feel bad. Specially Mutton Sukka Varuvel not at all acceptable. Explanation given by staff was 120grams is the universal quantity for boneless starters. Atmosphere looks very dull. Chicken boneless biriyani and egg fried rice was good. Chicken pieces were hard.

Chicken lolipop manchurian, chicken kebab, chapati and gravy combo.

Kebab and lolipop were good. Chapati was thick and not cooked. Almost unsafe to eat. Gravy provided was extremely dilute and oily and lacked any real flavour.

Worst food, just 2-4 staffs to serve n just 1 or 2 cooks made the worst day on Dec 15 2025. Each one who came had d same complaint. The only restaurant in recent times where we saw customers coming in with hunger n left the place with hunger. Many helpers are north east boys n have little or zero communication knowledge.

We could not take even one bite of kothu parotta as it wasnt even cooked properly. Some dishes never came to us. We left enough is enough n left.
