Dhaba – Estd 1986 Delhi, as the name suggests, is a brand that has been in existence for over 30 years, bringing the rich and delicious Punjabi cuisine to diners, in their popular Dhaba style. 90s Bollywood hits, film posters on the walls and a generally bright and cheery ambience make for a fun dining experience in a posh dhaba. And, then there is the menu, with dishes and drinks with fanciful names in ‘Hinglish’. The drinks menu is impressive – aside from the signature cocktails and a wide range of spirits, they also have around ten versions of 'Lassi'(try the Thandai or Gulabo Lassi) on the menu! 'Dhaba Prawns' – truly giant prawns grilled with a lovely masala, are a must order and their 'Galouti Kebabs' also, have a large fan following. The brand’s other signature items are the 'Tandoori Dhaba Raan' which is slow cooked to perfection, 'Chitta Butter Chicken' which has a mild white curry and not the usual red, and 'Balti Meat' served in, you guessed it, a mini steel bucket! 'Makki Di Roti' and 'Sarso Da Saag', a Punjab speciality combination, will keep vegetarian diners happy, as will the 'Tandoori Bhune Hue Aloo' which has a unique flavour. The 'Dhaba Da Meetha' is the dessert to choose if you can only manage one, but there is also 'Badam Halwa', 'Phirni', and 'Rasmalai' to end the meal on a sweet note.
