The Salt Grill at the Hilton Embassy Golf Links is set by the pool and serves only dinner. And, rightly so. The ambience in the evenings is brilliant – open to the skies, quite literally no sound of the blaring traffic that is a few 100 metres away, the blue-lit pool and bar counter and an open kitchen as well. Start with the unique take that the chef has on the 'Caprese Salad' – you have tomato caviar that replaces the usual slices and some very fresh buffalo mozzarella. The 'Deconstructed Greek Salad' allows you to put it together with the way you would like to. The 'Salmon Tikka' has Norwegian Salmon steaks with a touch of mascarpone cheese and beetroot puree and can be a real pleaser. If you want something light, the 'Tuna Tartare', served with Walnut Pesto Spaghetti' that is so good and some 'Balsamic Caviar' and 'Quail Eggs' make for a complete meal or a great way to start one. The highlight of Salt Grill is obviously their grills – all of which are served on Himalayan salt slabs to retain the moisture in the meats. The range is extensive – from 'Scallops' to 'Lobster' to 'Duck Confit', 'New Zealand Lamb Chops', 'Pork Belly' and more. What makes them even better is the exotic sauces you can have on the side – think 'Lemon Beurre Blanch', 'Red Wine Jus', 'Pepper Corn Sauce'. There is also a range of sides from and the 'Garlic Mashed Potatoes' with its flecks or roasted garlic is divine. End your meal with the 'French Apple Tart' or the 'Crema Catalina' and you will not be disappointed.
In one word - wow! In two words - wow! Wow! In three... Well, you get the idea!... Just hurry over! Had amazing lamb chops on a piece of salt (yes!!!) with a side of mashed potatoes. Perfect! Everything! The portion, the price, the tenderness, the side, the grilled veggies, the sauce... Service is great. Only down side is prices of wine bottles. Had to say no given the enormous markup. Going back tomorrow night for sure.
This restaurant is based on an appealing concept. It is outdoors, beside the Hilton Embassy Golf Links Hotel’s beautiful pools. Food is grilled without sodium, then served on platters of pink Himalayan salt. There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The idea is that the food picks up salt from the platter. My duck was among the best I have ever had, but my companion’s sausages were more ordinary. However, the last bites were very salty indeed as the food absorbs more and more. Try an Indian wine with your food. The ambiance is romantic, but it would not be awkward to take a business guest here. Warning: it is pricy.
The Sunday Brunch at The Hilton is a treat for the senses. Not only is the brunch spread virtually unlimited, the food is fresh and delicious; not to mention that there are more than 150 items on the brunch. the proverbial icing on the cake is the service. I hosted my birthday brunch on the 11th of November (a couple of days ago) and found the entire staff of the hotel very supportive, warm and responsive. From my first interaction with Alapan and Sarath from their Food & Beverage Team, to Dhruv from their restaurant Ministry Of Food, to Indrajeet and Arun who were assigned to serve my guests, dealing with them was a an absolute delight.
I just love going back to Hilton again and again as it is one of my favourite places for fine dining. And most importantly, their service and hospitality is excellent !! "Ministry Of Food" and "The Salt Grill" @ Hilton are the two restaurants I keep going often. My family just enjoy both these places. Yesterday, Oct 28th 2018, I was back at Hilton to celebrate my wife's B'Day and the Hilton team made our day memorable as usual. Their service quality is unparallel and that is why I keep going back to them. Their staff is very friendly as well. I would like to mention about Sanjay who was very hospitable right from the time I stepped into the hotel and catered to all my requests. Omkar also ensured that I'm well taken care of and looked after. And worth mentioning is their restaurant manager Sharath, who also ensured that I get the best of the treatment as a regular customer. "Thank You" Sharath for your hospitality. As a regular visitor at the Hilton, I just love the food, cocktails, ambience, hospitality and service. Everything is absolutely perfect. I would always rate a 5 star to the Hilton team in all departments. I would recommend that the readers of this post must visit this place and the best time to go there is for "The Sunday Brunch". I assure you that if you go there once, you'll surely visit again.
Great location and feel by the pool side. Good food great presentations. Deducted one point just for slow service but the wait is worth.
