Madras is Raintree’s South Indian restaurant offering the cuisine from all four southern states. It skips the glitz and glitter of the genre’s forbearers, sticking to business-like if slightly dull décor. The food is agreeable and would not drill a hole in your pocket, making it a good option if you want to entertain colleagues without splurging.

The service at Madras is warm and friendly. Staff is courteous and aware of your needs at all times. Whatever questions you might have – feel free to ask as they are well versed with the menu. At Madras you can taste the regional flavours of the area. Along with the South Indian cuisine the chef also prepares delicacies from Kerala and Chettinad region. Although the restaurant is an expensive place there is so better way to explore the regional cuisine than at Madras. To quench your thirst drink a flavourful broth, Rasam which comes with crab meat or lemongrass flavours. Seafood is the star of the show so respect that. For first course opt for, baby corn kempu, erachi ularthiyathu (beef morsels stir fried), pacha pattani vada, karuvepillai yera and attukari sukka.
