I recently went to Regenta Central for their festival—Mayilai Maami Samayal at Olives until Sunday, May 6. If you have ever wondered what’s cooking in the houses of Mylapore-Triplicane, this festival answers your question by the dishes crafted by Ms. Prema and Chef Aaron. The buffet spread is priced at ₹777 and is available for both lunch and dinner. Starters 1. Pineapple rasam 2. Keerai Vada 3. Bonda Main course 1. Arachivita sambar 2. Keerai mor kootu 3. Beans paruppu usili 4. Mor kozhambu 5. Manathakkali vathal kozhambu 6. Lemon rasam 6. Puliyodharai 7. Oorugai sadham 8. Pavakkai chips 9. Urulai roast 10. Appalam 11. Mor kali 12. White rice 13. Long beans poriyal Live counter Paruppu poli Desserts 1. Gulab Jasmin 2. Ras malai 3. Beetroot halwa 4. Semiya payasam 5. Rava kesari The dishes were extremely nice, but the only drawback is the service and hospitality factor. We were a group of 4 and they gave us a table for 2 stating they had reservations, which is clearly not enough to keep our plates. The table was congested and we had to keep calling the staff around to clear the plates. And till the end the so called reserved tables were not occupied. But....If you want delicious home cooked vegetarian meal, then here’s where you should go :)
Simply super food for veggies. Especially south Indian food was really good like traditional. Deserts yummy. Veg lovers must visit one time here to get great experience.
We had gone for lunch with friends at this restaurant on a weekday. Not much crowded and we could get a comfortable seating. We opted for Buffet lunch. It is a good mix of north Indian and south Indian varieties The food is tasty and not very spicy. We enjoyed our lunch.
