It is a restaurant where vegetables and condiments bring thrust to every dish and not the meat. The steady radiance of every menu item, be it the salads or thoke or the soups or hincho, comes by way of fresh produce, both crunchy and holding their texture. The restaurateurs seem invigorated by the challenge of conjuring up a complete no-meat menu for Indian diners where the contours of flavours are distinct. Already a rage is the Samuza Hincho or samosa soup where the samosa is served in a tangy soup with accompaniments of cabbage, carrot and capsicum. Equally popular are the salads, most refreshing of which is the Raw Mango Salad/Tayat Thi Thoke, where you will find filaments of raw mango jumbled with roasted red chilli, crushed peanuts, lettuce and brown onion. The flavours of the menu are all amplified with just the right touch of condiments and culinary wizardry. Do veer from your regular diet to try the Pyan Boo Palata where a creamed mash of corn with bright flashes of curry powder is leavened by coconut cream, to be mopped up by paratha shreds. Equally interesting are the grilled sticky rice in banana leaf parcels that come with a choice of fillings like mushrooms, raw mango and what have you to leave a lingering smoky aftertaste.
I am not a vegetarian and I usually avoid restaurants in shopping centers. But that night I did not have much time for dinner and had to choose a restaurant in the mall near my hotel. Browsing the menu, I asked the waiter what mock duck was (thinking it was a Burmese version of the Peking duck) and that's when I realized I was in an exclusively vegetarian restaurant. But it was a good choice. I still have to know exactly what I ate, but it was incredibly appetizing!
Great place for vegetarians. The food is so fresh and yummy. The staff polite and courteous. Service is quick without being intrusive. All the items that we ordered were very delicious. Will surely go back again and recommend to friends.
One of the best vegetarian food one can get in Delhi. Each dish has a distinct taste. Great presentation. Good portions and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Make reservations to avoid long waiting time. Worth a visit.
Wonderful vegetarian food and now a vegan menu too!Tea leaf salad is unique and I love the Fried rice dumplings, Burmese Fried rice, Khaw Sway...all delicious! Coco Bubble tea is a favourite and the new vegan passion fruit dessert is just heavenly!!! Fyi you won't miss meat at this meal - try the mock duck skewers...
I visited this restaurant after searching for a bubble tea place in Delhi. I had ordered one of the spicy rice dish with coconut milk with vegetables dish along with a bubble tea. Food was good but I was disappointed in the bubble tea. I had drank much better version of the tea and the tapioca pearls were quite low grade version of what I had in other countries. I would like to try bubble tea in other places in India to find the best one.
