Celebrity Chef Ritu Dalmia's Cafe Diva has opened with its hallmark features – gently elegant, embellishment-free decor, back-friendly chairs and no-fuss tables, and a light, at times quirky, menu – at the city's new dining destination opposite one of its most sought-after schools. The Sangam Courtyard has still to acquire the buzz of Cyber Hub Gurgaon, but it is getting busier and you can sense the difference in the footfalls at Cafe Diva after it got its liquor licence not long ago. The menu has all the pluses of Cafe Diva – comfort food delivered with finesse, and of course, plenty of surprises such pizzas with a ragi (foxtail millet) base (they even have a ragi salad), or fish/prawn moilee served with quinoa, or Bikaneri matar ki roti paired with a Kerala-style papaya curry. That's ghar ka khana for you, though the must-haves remain the pizzas, bruschetta and pastas. The guests are smart, the serving staff well-informed, and the ambience warm and welcoming. A perky addition to a neighbourhood known so far only for its faceless 'government quarters' housing our country's babudom.
