On the first floor of the hotel is a restaurant with a desi sensibility: all bright primary colours and rustic decorative touches. The food is traditional Punjabi as cooked in homes and the glassed-in show kitchen is about the only nouvelle touch. Expect to be served home-made pickles and relishes, as well as an array of appetizers and main courses that are not usually seen on restaurant menus. Paneer pakoda, tandoori chicken, bhutta malai jhinga and khurchan karela are must-tries. Lauki vadiya and ragda meat pulao are dishes you probably will not encounter in other North Indian restaurants. Do look out for their bi-monthly promotions.
Had a great meal during my last stay at Vivanta Surajkund. Food and service was good, so was the ambiance.
Paranda is a desi Punjabi styled outlet with the aim of serving best of north Indian cuisine. The outlet has excellent ambiance and is really comfortable to dine in , perfect for family dinners. My order consisted of > Paneer Methi Masala > Dal Paranda & Breads Dal was absolutely delicious and hands down one of the best I have ever had. Paneer was also great but i would recommend Dal a bit more.Service was prompt and staff was pleasant. Overall 4.5/5 -Sahil Jain (firstname.lastname@example.org)
One the best Indian restaurants in Delhi-NCR. This is my second time here and it continues to impress. The chat starters, perfectly cooked paranthas and the chutneys were to die for. Dal makhni was nice and creamy and had a smoky touch to it. That perfect blend of spices were singing throughout in all the dishes we ordered. Do try their lachha paratha, as they taste divine. Wish they had buffet lunch though on Saturday. Billing time could be made a bit more efficient though.
Lovely ambience , authentic , delicious food . Love to visit again .Staff was cordial , good service .
Perfect blend of Luxury and elegance. A place which is suitable for kids, family, couples or official meetings. Food is very yummy and worth the price. Staff is very polite and put real efforts to give the customers best experience. A must visit place for all
Normally when some relative or a business associate comes from overseas the big question arrives, where to take them for dinner? It’s just not about the good food but need for impressive ambience also plays a major role. At times like this ‘Paranda’ comes handy. Located at posh Vivanta by Taj, Suraj kund, Faridabad, the restaurant is epitome of fun, quirky, traditional, sophisticated and rustic environment. On the first floor of the hotel, the restaurant gets lot of footfall by the in house guests and local foodies alike. The décor is like being in a rural house of north India complete with wall motifs, ethnic furniture, bright upholstery and copper utensils. There are various sorts of seating areas designed as per the mood. Casual laid back area has low seating whereas formal sitting area has proper dining table. Flanking the formal seating area are large bay windows overlooking the green patch. Most fun part of the restaurant is a life size truck and charpais which is a huge hit with the kids and adults alike.
The menu at Paranda is whole soul north Indian with heavy influence from Punjab region. The food is traditional as cooked in homes and open kitchen adds something to the dining experience. For first course they serve magan murgh shorba, bharwan malai broccoli, pakhowal road da tandoori kukkad, adrak matar ki seekh, dal dhaniye da shorba, Punjabi paneer tikka, Ludhiana Bhatti murgh tikka, tandoori kurkuri seekh, tandoori chatpata ananas, keema pudine ki seekh, amritsari macchi, papad crusted paneer pakoda and sunheri jhinga. Mains like Patiala shahi macchi, murgh kali mirch, baingan bharta, kofta dilkhush, murgh makhanwala, paneer hara pyaaz, bhindi do pyaza, bhuna gosht, raan tawa masala, sector 7 da tarriwala mutton and pindi chana, are impressive and extremely tasty.
Accompany the meal with gosht pulao, dahi bhalle, naan, roti, jeera pyaz ka pulao, tandoori murgh tikka pulao and stuffed paratha/kulcha. The grand finale as they call dessert consists of moong dal halwa, gajar ka halwa, rasmalai, malpua with rabri, kesar pista kulfi, roh di kheer, kesar di sakora rabri and wagah de gulab jamun.
