History of Delhi is colourful and filled with stories. Stories of those who had to leave their homes overnight and travel for miles for a new place to settle down. Most of the population of Delhi is of those who bore the brunt of partition between India and Pakistan. Many people settled into the city in hordes preferring certain areas over others forming a tight knit community of Sikhs and Hindus bound together by tragedy. There are some colonies which grew with such expats and came to be known as Refugees colony and later on became Punjabi Bagh of today. Soon after it established Punjabi Bagh quickly became the locality for big bungalows of wealthy traders, businessmen and wholesalers. Today Punjabi Bagh is known for its posh residences and lovely sprawling bungalows. The Punjabi community residing here live life to its fullest and are famous for their love for luxury and good food.
