Sorrento’s décor can be best defined as ‘refined rustic,’ with elements generously borrowed both from chic urban spaces and the white-washed countryside of Italy. There are cans of potted plants strung up on exposed brick walls that transport you to a Mediterranean landscape. The patron is surrounded by open kitchens and can wait for his meal by watching a battery of chefs whipping up complex dishes using both authentic and fresh ingredients. The live pizza counter is a delight to gaze at, where extravagant pizzas take shape right in front of your eyes from modest dough balls. Oven-fresh pies with bubbly tops are then placed under warming lamps before the server zigzags his way to your table. The savoury affair is placed on a bed of sweet raisin mostarda (candied- fruit condiment) and quenelles of potato mash. Also, currently, there is a special offer from Monday through Saturday for lunch, that is priced at Rs 1500, plus taxes, per person. The offer comes with a choice of salad, pasta dish, main course option and dessert
