The latest entry into the city’s culinary scene and one that is generating quite the buzz is Yuzu, a Japanese bar, and kitchen at the Epicuria Mall in Nehru Place. They have got an insane variety of authentic ramen, yakitori, and burgers, all of which go perfectly well with the potent sake and shochu options on their menu. A perfect start to your meal would be ‘Edamame’ or ‘Tan Tan Gyoza Ramen’. If you love Japanese cuisine, you should know that this new restaurant is the real deal when it comes to all things Japanese.
Total Japanese affair with Ramen bowls.. yakatori and Sake...tried the Cherry Blossom Sake Cocktail..loved it...if you want to try Japanese food then this is the place..nice ambience with peppy music is an Add on !
We had almost everything at the restaurant from various sushi to hambagu to gyoza and a couple of drinks. Everything was excellent and nothing was just okay. They had 2 kinds of wasabi, one mild and the other was extreme so have the later one with caution
The atmosphere of the places catches you the moment you walk in. It felt like a place in hongkong or something. Dim lights, beautiful bar, cherry blossoms on the terrace and nice music. I had two way sushi, spinach salad, chicken nanban, duck gyozo, minched chicken bowl and rock shrimp tempura. Every single dish was well made and was delicious. The service was good too. Do try their Sake cocktails. I had Sake mule and Sake bramble. Its a great place to chill and have great food too.
Yuzu was always high on my list to visit next. Finally got the chance to here on lunch and I have to say was not disappointed. Indulge in a multi course meal starting with salad - Steamed spinach in Citric sesame dressing (so much detailing and effort goes in this - you'll know once you see it), next was Chicken nanban - chicken cutlet (super crispy outter with juicy inside) topped with egg mayo. In sushi we opted for the Two ways (tempura prawn sushi with Tuna salsa on the top), Duck gyoza was the chef recommendation and was perfectly crispy on the side and served with chilli oil. We also tried there quinoa bowl (healthy option) with mince chicken loaded with exotic veggies and topped with an egg along with chef special spicy sauce - mixed on your table. Ended this gala lunch with passion fruit sorbet - which is mine absolutely favourite (stopped myself from ordering another round). In the drink department tried the sakemule - Moscow mule but with sake and green tea (refreshing)!!! Have to say that it's now my go-to places with a friendly and super attentive staff that took well care of us! And before I forget - they have a super interesting interiors adding to the overall experience and is a must try for everyone!
The place is a Saki bar and serves drinks inspired by Saki along with authentic Japanese cuisine The food and drinks both are quite authentic. Located in the Epicurus Mall the place is a small eatery but the food is packed with a punch.A must try for all.
