4 Must Try New Menus in Mumbai
Relish the best of seasonal flavours across restaurants
05 Mar, 2019 by Mini RibeiroWith new seasons come new menus, to showcase the best ingredients available locally. Chefs typically change menus each season to infuse freshness for their diners and break the monotony. Colour, texture, flavours are kept in mind when creating these new menus. Diners get to taste the best of the season. Across Mumbai, several restaurants have revamped their menus and have put the exciting new fare on offer, in many cases for a limited time period. My top 4 picks :
Toast & Tonic, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Western Suburbs
Local catch mingles with the freshest ingredients from the land, in Toast & Tonic’s special seafood menu inspired by delicacies from ports around the world. ‘Fresh off the Boat’. The focus of this menu, which is available till March 31, is to keep it simple and singing with flavour because, with seafood, less is more. Chef Chirag Makwana’s new seafood specials spans the globe, with 10 incredible seafood dishes. Dishes here celebrate the best of the country’s produce, while borrowing influences from Asian, French, Canadian, Japanese and even Latin American cultures. Part of the roster includes Kalonji Crusted Seared Tuna, TnT Seabass Ceviche, Grilled Tiger Prawns and Lobster Rolls.

D:OH!, Fun Republic Mall, Andheri West
The all-new menu, at all the D:OH outlets, features a hearty breakfast section, small eats, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, desserts and freak shakes, and is enticing from word-go. The Freakfast is not-to-be-missed. Gorge on the portion of pancakes, 2 eggs your way plus sausages, bacon and hash browns. If not too hungry, settle for the smaller bites - Pok Pok Vietnamese Chicken Wings doused in Oyster Sauce; Fish Fingers; Onion Rrings and more. Fret not if you are hard-pressed on time. Opt for the grab and go, Tawa Baida Roti, which is deeply satisfying. Round off that perfect meal with a freaky Peter Paan Freakshake with an Indian twist with Gulkand and Paan.
