The weather is really not that conducive to having a wholesome meal which often will comprise of a wide variety of vegetarian dishes, minimum 2 to 3 types of non-vegetarian varieties, a plate full of desserts and the choicest of fruits with mango ruling the show there. In spite of the sweltering heat, one cannot deny the invitation neither can leave one morsel back on the plate as it is Jamai Shashthi. The day when the Sosur bari or the in-laws go out of their way to pamper the son-in-law.
