Fashioned around the legendary King Arthur and his knights of the round table, this swanky establishment lies at the Acacia Hotel in Candolim. With Queen’s and wizards as the theme start off the meal with 'Queen Marchell'- boiled mushrooms stuffed with cottage cheese and herbs accompanied with a 'Santa Monica Salsa'. For the carnivores 'Sir John Grey' is a delight- chunks of marinated chicken in Cajun spice and cooked on a girdle, served with Aioli Dip. The 'Beef Tenderloin' grilled steak served in pepper sauce is wholesome main and has an ode to Danielle from the fable. As Arthur claimed victory with the help of Excalibur, a befitting end to this story would lie in the 'Stuffed Crepes' with chocolate cream sauce and honey and the lemon soufflé with lemon zest.
Impeccable food and service, reasonably priced (two course meal for two with beers was 1400 rupees). Would highly recommend.
This is our second time here this trip, helpful staff but relaxing. Great food. Hand sanitizer offered on arrival. Ice safe to drink. Very high standard. Would come here again great prices.
Was really disappointed with the place, I read some great reviews but when we went it was dreadful, the portions were small, the food was poor, it was expensive for what you got, trying to get a dessert ordered was a mission, took nearly 15 minutes before we actually managed to get anything on order, when it arrived it was inedible, not a place i'll be revisiting any time soon.
After reading rave reviews, I thought a visit would be in order. I wish we hadn't. The service was not great on arrival. I decided after eating Gian food for a most a week, that it was time to try the pizza from the menu.... this was not a pizza by any stretch of the imagination. It was a tortilla wrap covered with tomatoes and cheese. Nothing short of Serious disappointment for me and my fellow diners. When ordering the dessert, we were given menus to look at but then they were taken from us and we were given the bill. Very strange behaviour. Certainly not worthy of high score. Must do better...
The food here is excellent and you are spoilt for choice with the menu. Ate here twice and can highly recommend, the waiters were a pleasure to deal with.
