‘The Great Indian meal’ is what one can expect from Chula at the Grand Hyatt. The restaurant is expansive and the non a/c verandah overlooks the garden. The centre is where the action takes place – the open kitchen as well as two sections – the chaat counter and the halwai counter. From unique cocktails that complement dishes, the menu is a national integration from many states. Their signature preparation is the Chula mutton curry and combines well with the Malabar naan. Vegetarians can choose to have the bhindi ki sabzi – a North Indian preparation. Desserts too, are picked from various states – jalebi is highly recommended which is prepared by the halwai chefs right in front of you in the restaurant. When you want to entertain with ‘class’, this is the restaurant to go to.
We’re staying at Grand Hyatt in Goa for two weeks. Delighted to find this Indian restaurant on site. We’ve eaten here twice already in our first 5 days. We’re used to good Indian food in UK but this is a different league, truly wonderful food, ambience, staff and value. Carol & Tony Jordan
The restaurant on the first floor Chulha is very good. The ambience of the place is great and the food is very very tasty and yummy. The variety of ice creams and yogurt they serve is amazing. The staff is also very nice and service is real quick.
This is in the hotel grounds. Excellent local food only. Great service and staff. Reasonable prices for a hotel.
