With the hustle bustle in and around Candolim, there is Mikey's that adds to the food and merriment of everything around. Understated and catering to the apt tourist who comes to Goa to relax and unwind this place has created an experience that delivers just that. Come in, relax and let all your troubles be left behind. With many Goan favourites ruling the menu, the signature dishes lie in the Prawn Curry and Chicken Xacuti with a majority of the masalas being family guarded recipes. The place is calm and the items are reasonably priced. There’s something for everyone at Mikey's in Candolim.
Cosy lively Bar with now, much improved service- two very pleasant young men with lovely smiles, unlike the grumpy, miserable chef who just glares at you! Prices have gone up but I don't mind as long as I get genuine spirits, unlike before,
Either at the start of our evening or on our way back to our hotel we would always call into Mikey's bar and always had a great welcome , several evenings there would be music and dancing . We always had a great time and would recommend a visit..
Tried micks place last night and it was awful. Chicken soup tasted of washing up liquid, second bowl tasted of powdered onion and no chicken. Tomato soup and stuffed mushrooms were tasty. Mixed salad arrived 15 minutes the rest the rest of the starters. Battered fish and chips ,the fish looked really dark in colour and didn't taste nice. Seafood rice didn't have a great deal of flavour. Chicken tikka masala didn't taste anything like a masala . Mushroom pasta tasted really strange so didn't eat it. Service was poor.he bloke serving us wanted to bring starters and mains out togeather but we said no , Eaten in a lot nicer places in candolim for a lot less money
Charming Mikey is always looking to improve & he has. The place is looking quite professional now & the staff are much more attentive. I know this place for many years but have not eaten here. Many people seem to like it so will have to try it. The drinks are more expensive but as everything has improved it is justifiable. I hope the toilets are better?
Visited Mikey's Place in Candolim recently. Loved the chilled out vibe and the food was great. We indulged in a variety from the cheese stuffed mushrooms, butter garlic prawns and Chicken Jalfrezi with cheese garlic naan. All of it was a treat! I generally don't eat stuffed mushroom, but I enjoyed this one. It melted in the mouth.
