If you tweeted, perched atop a cliff bang smack in the middle of the torrential rains with a cocktail and tantalizing fare for a company, they would think it is your last wishes before you take the plunge. And plunge you do, at Olive Bar & Kitchen. Catch up with- Eric Lobo the affable mixologist in conversation and delight. Try his version of a ‘Goa Trance’ from his range of Signature Cocktails- it’s got something to calm your nerves. The Goa Trance is a tower of calm with an infused gin, vodka, tequila, feni, white rum, orange liqueur, dark rum laced with apple and cranberry juice. Chef Ewan is the artist behind small plated preparations such as the 'Baked Sardines on Toasted Ciabatta'- boneless sardine fillets sprinkled with wood fire roasted capers, lemon, chilli, parsley and garlic served with fresh rucola leaves on ciabatta toast. A must have before you carry yourself out the door is the 'Oreo Chocolate Mousse' in whiskey jelly, honey ice cream and honeycomb. A perfect cliff-hanging experience.

Aglio olio penne pasta - must try! 3. Rocking Rosato and signature rosso sangria- both must try! 4. Green tea- they serve a general twinnings tea bag but the presentation impressed me ! Worst management ever, goons they are unprofessional.. we had some good time but the moment they got their next customer who arrived an hour earlier they just tried to push us out of the place telling that OUR GUESTS ARE FEELING RESTLESS!!
We called and made a reservation at Olive at Vagator, upon reaching there they were extremely uncooperative of providing a table and then were extremely rude and argumentative. It is a disgrace to experience this behaviour and treatment to any given customer. As an organisation, restaurant it is your duty to accommodate a customer. Instead the manager Lyne was raising his voice, had so much attitude and was engaging into a fight and was threatening to go to the police. It is absolutely, unacceptable to behave in such a fashion with any customer regardless of whether the customer is right or wrong. Extremely unprofessional, uncourteous and harassing behaviour. I request and demand an explanation for this behaviour and mistreatment.
Wife and I went with our infant. Even though there were a lot of tables available for the entire duration, we were given a spot which actually wasn't even a proper table. The music controls with all the wires, and other junk was next to us. No proper lighting/air circulation either. There were too many mosquitos too because of all the junk next to us and on requesting for a change of table, the waiter asked my wife to apply a mosquito repellent the next time we went out. It was horrible! Had we not already ordered our drinks and food, we'd have left! We ordered two dishes for the main course. The waiter forgot one. Taste wise it was average - would expect more from Olive. Now the good part- location is amazing. On the cliff right on vagator beach! Insane views of the sunset! Best time to go is around 5:15 in the evening.
Don't miss the sunset view from the olive bar and kitchen. One of the best restaurant chains of India. The service, ambience, views, food everything was just perfect. Don’t miss this. strongly recommended.
Perched on top of a cliff, Olive Bar and Kitchen is one of Goa’s most fancy restobars. Located in Vagator, North Goa, which is presumably the best and most happening area in Goa, the restaurant is always packed with tourists and localities.
The place features a fully stocked up bar with the best of liquors at your disposal. They also serve few of the rarest spirits in the world along with some quintessential home-made cocktails. The highly talented mixologist Eric Lobo prepares some of the finest blends that will simply blow you away. You must try his version of Goa Trance. The drink is made with infused vodka, gin, tequila, white rum, dark rum, orange liqueur and is laced with apple and cranberry juice.
The food at Olive’s is nothing short of excellent. The delectable Mediterranean cuisine served here indulges your taste buds and takes you on a culinary journey like no other. From the main course, some amazingly zesty and flavourful dishes which are worth mentioning include Seared Fillet of Salmon, Chicken Peri Peri Espetada, Pork Chops with Honey and Cashew Feni, Sun-dried Tomato Risotto, Goan Chorizo & Prawns, Beef Carpaccio Salad and Crispy Calamari Three Ways. There is also a special kid’s menu for your little kiddos.
Before you get yourself out, you have to try the amazing variety of desserts they offer. Their Oreo Chocolate Mousse made with whiskey jelly, honeycomb and honey ice cream is a highly recommended dessert. Besides, you can also try the Jaggery Cheesecake and Cashew Praline Parfait.
