The North Indian restaurant chain from Speciality Restaurants Ltd has their Hyderabad outlet at Begumpet, in the same building which houses their other restaurants like Mainland China and Oh Calcutta. The restaurant has an open look and a casual atmosphere with comfortable seating. Sigree is known for its value-for-money buffet for both lunch and dinner, and most of the customers opt for the same. The buffet is quite rich with a lot of items and pricing is different on weekdays and weekends. Their a-la-carte menu has a collection of dishes from all over North India. Choices are as diverse as 'Gosht Rogan Josh' from Kashmir to 'Saoji Mutton' from Vidarbha. Among the kababs, the spicy 'Bhoot Jolokia Chicken Tangdi' and 'Warqi Kakori' stand out. Vegetarians can feast on 'Kasturi Shabnam (mushrooms stuffed with cheese) and 'Alu Bukhara Kofta'. The waiters are attentive and serve with a smile.
I was there, solo, for a dinner buffet on the evening of 5th April 2019. I had lunch a couple of times, a few years ago and relying on my old memories I decided to try this place again. Nothing changed at all, in terms of taste and quality of food, in a superlatively nice way! The highlight of the buffet was and still is their wide spread of super delicious starters. Being a vegetarian I was served crispy baby corn, barbequed fresh pineapple, amazingly tender paneer and a couple of other. The main course was limited but I will not complain, the starters were good enough for me. Nonetheless, the paneer and pindi channa were amazing, along with their crispy tandoor-fresh rotis. The service is amazing with personal attention towards all the customers. I was amazed to see the manager of the restaurant who was so humble and didn’t mind serving and clearing the plates, when the customers’ rush increased. My only observation is about the ambience. The place looks old and furniture needs to be changed. The charm of the place could be enhanced with a bit of re-doing of the interiors. I loved the overall experience and will recommend it even to the not-so-hungry people, trust me, this place will double up your hunger and appetite.
On my last visit to this place I gave it 5 star rating as I loved their food and service. On this visit food is not that dis-appointing but their service is real bad. I visited it along with five other family members and the service started real good. We loved their fish fry as well as prawn starter and mutton seekh kebab which are served onto the table. After two rounds they stopped serving mutton seekh kebabs and prawn starter. They kept serving only fish fry and when we asked for mutton seekh kebab specifically they kept on saying that it will come but never turned up. It is supposed to be unlimited servings so we were dis-appointed. It would have been nice if the staff informed us that mutton and prawn starters are over instead they kept on saying that they are getting.
Very good ambience, nicest of cuisine and very very helpful staff. Had Raan, Prawns, Bharwa paratha is too good, and multani paratha too, and orange juice pitcher and it was all awesome.
Tasty Indian dishes were spread during the lunch buffet The food and the ambiance both are very good. Service was really awesome. The location is also very convenient for many.
One of the most comfy seat that I have experienced. Ambiance is soothing with very gentle music that you can hardly notice but will feel relaxed nevertheless. Food taste is very fine. Ordered prawn and mutton, both of them were very nicely cooked. Mutton soft and succulent and prawn crispy and juicy.
