Went with family on Mother’s Day. Had the special lunch buffet. Welcomed with mixed fruit juice and sweet lassi. Spread was delightful. Starters were tasty and well prepared. Service was quick. Enjoyed both the main course-and Desserts. The dine-in experience was calm and pleasant. Compliments to the Chef and entire team of Aura.

The Sonnet Hotel being located just beside the ILS Hospital in Sector 1, Salt Lake within a 5 minutes walking distance from City Centre 1 hosts their beautiful all day dining multi cuisine restaurant ‘Aura’ on the Ground floor located just next to the lobby. They have both options of Buffet & Ala Carte according to one’s preference. The pleasant and classy decor of the interiors are quite impressive along with cosy seating arrangements. The Buffet spread includes with mouthwatering Indian, Oriental & Continental cuisines, and also serving lavish Breakfast Buffet. They have a wide range of Veg & Non-Veg options one would fall for. ?

One can surely dive into their tempting Buffet section and satisfy their cravings because the taste and quality being absolutely fantastic.

The quality and taste of the food here is extremely overwhelming. The staffs also deserves a special mention for their wonderful hospitality and service. ❤️

I went to Aura located in The Sonnet Hotel on the day of Panchami, 2023. They were serving pujo special buffet. The ambiance was nice and all the staff were very well behaved and polite. Their service was good, but only initially. Once the restaurant was full, they were struggling to attend each table. But I understand rush hours and didn't mind the service.

Now, coming to the main part of the buffet, the food.  When they started serving the starters on the table, I was very impressed with the taste of each starter. All the starters were fresh, hot, and tasty. They served kurkure chicken, prawn popcorn, chicken kebeb, fish chop, garlic fish, mocha chop, paneer kebab, paneer stick, crispy chili babycorn etc.

Then we moved to the main course and started getting disappointed as many of the items were not good. The mutton biriyani was not good, padba fishes were tasteless and felt not fresh, prawn malai curry was average, fish paturi was made of basa fish and didn't taste good. Basically, all the main attractions were disappointing. Fulkopi curry was tasty, chili chicken was decent, and chicken curry was decent. Overall, the main course section was not good enough.

The beverages like aam pudina kacha lonka sorbot, Lassi, Virgin mojito were good. Most of the dessert items were good, too. The baked rasgulla was not up to the mark. Rest all like gulab jamun, chanar jilipi, pastry, Sandesh, mousse, etc. all were very good.

Buffet cost was Rs. 1070, which didn't justify the quality of the main course items. One more thing was they didn't have regular water to serve and only bottled water that costs Rs. 131 per 1 ltr bottle.

Overall, it was an okay experience for us.

Let's dig into one of the most scrumptious buffets in town at Aura-The Sonnet !! Aura is the Multi Cuisine fine dining and a buffet restaurant located at the ground floor of The Sonnet Kolkata , which is a 4-star luxury hotel. ????

This place is kind of underrated and never being a talk of the town but it offers a lot in terms of food, hospitality and so on... There are few buffet options available in and around our IT Hub, Salt Lake & most of the places are like okayish and you have been tried those places so many times already... So, this place can be added to your bucket list. ?

Now the ambience was pretty vibrant, eye soothing and most importantly very comfortable... Wooden finished with velvety sofas are really cozy and gives an absolutely fine dining feel!! ❤?

I've tried this place before as well but they've renovated the decor and now it's more aesthetically beautiful and yesterday I visited this place to try their newly launched buffet which has a wide range of food items including North Indian, oriental and continental!... The buffet was quite good especially their North Indian Food Items. Starters were Yum , desserts were no doubt fresh and amazing in taste and One major good thing over here is their main course was really nice.. So, overall they maintained the food quality... They have separate live pasta and pizza sections where you can customize your food according to your taste buds and needs.

?One can avail the buffet in both lunch (12.30hrs-15.30hrs) and dinner time (19.00 hrs - 23.30hrs). ☑️

The Sonnet Hotel is just 5 mins walking distance from City Centre, Salt Lake and Aura has been a well-known buffet restaurant among the people living near the Salt Lake area. They have the options of Both Buffet & Ala Carte menu and people can choose according to their preference.  Aura is a fine dining buffet place with classy interiors and comfy seating, the perfect luxurious ambience at Aura is where we can indulge in some quality time with friends and family and binge on some amazing buffet spread menu. ?

Dinner buffet at Aura 2024 - Well this was my 2nd time at this place. Previously I had a la carte couple of yrs back.
Quality of starter, welcome drinks (it was water, better serve cold drinks) is below par. Few of the main course like biryani, chingri is good. Fruit salad is good, and few of the desserts are good. Nothing is extraordinary as compared to the price they are charging.
If you love good food, avoid it. But if you are looking for a change, less wait time during Pujas, then Ok.
Recommendation - Avoid It
To the authorities - You can cut short few items, but quality needs drastic improvement, probably change in kitchen..!

Went for lunch and was served cold staters, even after pointing it out twice no one bothered. The main course was nothing special for the price point. Given Durga Puja, I am assuming they have hired additional staff with no obvious training.

Had a lovely experience here. Food was good but some of them in the main course was very spicy. Good ambience.
