Anjan Chatterjee’s contemporary European all-day diner opened doors in his hometown nine months after its debut in Pune. It became an instant hit. The 130-cover outfit rides on the strength of an alcohol-steered model targeted at youngsters (it is location in the Forum Mall, a popular gen-y hangout, is apt). Done mostly in wood with olive green upholstery, shelves stocked with books and funky paraphernalia, and quirky industrial lights – the setting is swanky yet cosy, a perfect chill zone. It might get a little noisy but that is how it is meant to be. The menu is largely modern European. Hand-tossed thin crust pizzas and their signature Mezzuna Fish & Chips are among their bestsellers. But at Mezzuna, one goes for the tall towers of draught beer, the caprioskas and the sangrias. The long island iced tea is particularly good.
Situated inside the forum mall, very popular among youth. Food and drinks both reasonably priced. Good ambience. Swift service. Consistent taste in food. Frequently come here n my fav is sun dried tomato risotto..
I’ve been visiting the restaurant regularly for years with friends, kids, etc and the food has been consistently good. They also have great happy hour prices on drinks which makes the experience even better
Restaurant design is industrial, but with a comfy casual and relaxed, trendy atmosphere. Staff were brilliant and looked after our table of 12 efficiently and with a smile. Italian/ European as the main menu, but with a flair from the east makes for good food selection. We tried the mustard prawns with a mustard potato smash, and the fricassee with a Thai inspired vegetable sauce-which was tasty and perfect portion size. I will happily order the same when we next visit. Our family had chicken and fish fry served imaginatively then chicken and pasta in a creamy sauce, which they liked but added table chilli seeds to spice it up. The Bekti whole fish and pizzas were well presented and everyone liked them. Thank you for a lovely memorable evening
Located inside the Forum Mall, Cafe Mezzuna is exactly the kind of air conditioned pretent western restaurant that aspirational middle class Indians so love. The menu features pizza, pasta, burgers... anything but local cuisine really. There's also a lengthy drinks list including cocktails, wine and craft beer. The ideal place to relax with family, friends, that love interest you're too scared to tell your parents about or just your beloved smart phone! My beloved wife and I ordered some nachos to start followed by a tomato, mozzarella, roast garlic & basil pizza. The nachos were tortilla chips straight out of a packet served with little bowls of salsa, refried beans, sour cream, cheese dip and ketchup. They claim that the cheese dip is homemade but I suspect it may have came out of a packet just like everything else. But, you know, it was kind of OK. The pizza was a bit weird. Not really like anything you would find anywhere in Italy but OK in its own way. The base was very thin, very crispy and totally unauthentic. Unsurprisingly, the mozzarella wasn't the best. But, you know, it was kind of OK too. We also had a small glass of draught beer each, bringing the bill to a whopping 1200 including tax and service. I'm used to eating much better local food at a fraction of the price. Not sure what we were thinking really!
Definitely my fav cafe.. food is awesome..recently had the weekend buffet it was amazing. Love the ambience as well as the food. The staffs r helpful. My fav one the menu is lamp chops with couscous
