Mandala - The Oriental Kitchen is a restaurant in Bidhannagar, Kolkata serving beverages, Chinese and Oriental. Known for refreshing beverages and mocktails; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Mandala is an Asian cuisine restaurant with dishes from all around asia. The place is pretty spacious with pretty decoration. It has an outdoor sitting area as well. You can sit and dine, work, and chill. The food here is just too good. We had:
1. Pork Khowsuey (11/10) - it's the most delicious and creamiest Khowsuey I've ever had, the pork pieces were soft, the gravy of the Khowsuey was phenomenal. This is my favourite and a must try.
2. Prawn Khowsuey (12/10) - we've also tried the prawn Khowsuey on our second visit and I liked this more than the pork Khowsuey as the pork one is a little on the rich side, but the prawn one is not that rich.
3. Chicken Schezwan Meal Bowl (10/10) - I really liked this one, it was spicy and filling for 2 people. It's served with kfc type fried chicken, bok choy and 2 momos.
4. Pork Ribs (2/10) - we ordered this during our second visit and the pork was really really dry and could not be eaten. They said pork ribs are always like this, but we've tried pork ribs in other places as well, it's never dry. But anyways, they exchanged the pork ribs with a Khowsuey, so the service was really good in this case, they took care of the situation promptly.
Overall the service is really good and friendly. I love this place and would visit again just for the Khowsuey.

Mandala – The Oriental Kitchen truly lives up to its beautiful name with an equally beautiful ambiance. The moment you step in, the atmosphere makes you feel calm and welcomed.

But the real magic begins with the food – every dish is crafted with such care and perfection that words fall short to describe its taste. Each bite feels like a journey of flavors, full of love and authenticity.

What touched me even more was the warmth of the people here. The owner and the staff are not only professional but genuinely kind, humble, and caring. Their behavior adds a personal touch that makes you feel at home, not just like a guest.

Mandala is not just a restaurant – it’s an experience for the heart, soul, and taste buds. ?

We had 3 items. Chicken Tom Kha soup, Chicken BBQ chicken, Pork Shyapta. All were very tasty. All the items were very tasty. But Tom Kha soup was like exceeded all expectation. It is really really must have soup.
Just one thing I was expecting little more is the quantity. Quantity is not justified compared to price. That is why I  have given 4 star.

The space is warm and cozy.. it has a lovely indoor and outdoor seating space. The highlight is the food.. chicken momo was sooo soft and juicy, the prawn curry was fresh and delicious with the right amount of spices...my absolute favorite ( my mouth is still watering) is the pepper chicken, its hot and spicy and tangy and bursting with flavors.. must must try. also try their mocktails.

We had an amazing dining experience here. The Indonesian soup was a standout—truly world-class. We also tried the 'Gyoza' momos, which were superb: juicy and generously filled with seasoned chicken. What made our visit even more special was the hospitality. The staff's warm behavior toward my 3-year-old daughter was wonderful. We are truly impressed!

Randomly found this place on Google and came here with my friends on a Saturday evening. It is just a 3min walk from City Centre 1 and is located on the ground floor of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration.

This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor setting. The ambience was really good and the decoration gave authentic oriental vibes.

We ordered ??

1. Virgin Pina Colada ₹160 : didn't taste good at all
2. Pink Panther ₹160 : tasted like a below average strawberry shake?
3. Crispy Fish Black Pepper [6pc] ₹375 : this was really light yet tasty
4. Honey Chilli Chicken Finger ₹310 : the inside of the chicken tasted very bland and saltless.. Didn't like it much
5. Chicken Pan Fried Noodles (Cantonese Sauce) ₹260 : tasted okay but tasted salt less a bit
6. Chicken Schezwan Bowl ₹350 : quantity was enough for a single person but the chicken pieces in it tasted very much bland and saltless ?
7. Mandala Chicken Bowl ₹350 : this was delicious ?
8. Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream ₹250
9. Packaged Drinking Water ₹45 : yes, I am mentioning this because they charged an outrageous amount of ₹45 for a bottle of ₹20 ? on top of that, they also charged 5% gst on that price?

Overall, I felt it was an average experience.

Can't complain. Can't complain at all.

As usual, first comes food. We tried just four items. Pork cheese gyoza ( man the juicy fat of the pork combined with cheese, the thought itself waters my mouth), burnt garlic rice, black pepper fish and fried and honey drizzled wontons with vanilla scoop as dessert. Each and every item was flavoured to perfection, warm and served with delicious chutneys.
I am telling you if they are saying it's an oriental kitchen, it most definitely is an oriental kitchen.

The service was awesome. Fast and efficient. And if you want suggestions, they are always ready with those.

And the ambience. I am spellbound. The place was beyond beautiful. Those wall hangings and the tantric mandalas ( I guess that's where the restaurant derives its name from) and the coffee corner was super pretty, well placed, well lit and well managed.

So, everything is 10/10.
