Upon entering the dragon adorning the ceiling in a twirl of gold made of 6171 crystal clear and lilac hand-blown glass and bulbs leaves you staring in awe for a few minutes as it could be the envy of any museum! Moo shu lamb is an intriguing dish that should not be missed as the elusive fragrance of spicy garlic cuts the heaviness of lamb in a remarkable way. Try the stir fried pork with chunky bits of bell peppers and onions, then fused together in a garlic sauce liberally coated, decadent indeed. Other must try includes the peking duck and the braised eggplant in a chilly yellow bean sauce. Apart from this, there is an extensive range of traditional dim sums though not off the traditional trolley, but with attentive and friendly waiting staff at hand. Desserts are a pleasure from the good old date and banana pancakes to the sophisticated toffee made of dark chocolate or just indulge in some chilled rambutans. All in all, the Sichuan, Cantonese and a few specialities from the xiao long bao from the region of Shanghai are presented with refinement.
China inc is surely a place to go for a family dinner, party, get - together or any occasion that you want to celebrate. Conveniently located on the ground floor of Taj Sanatacruz which is in the airport premises, the restaurant does definitely make it to the list of yummy chines and cantoese food with a class ambience to it. The lobby is very well and done up with chandelier and the mini fish acquarium. the 2-3 shops in the lobby serve a good place for shopping also. The restaurant is nicely spread -i would say quite huge with tables spaced very strategically making optimum utilization of space. the private dining area can be a perfect place if you are in a group of 10 pax and want privacy with personalized service. The open kitchen adds to the warmth as we can actually see food being prepared. there are umpteem veg and jain options available. the momos, soup, starters, main course of rice and gravy - you really need to be hungry to relish all the food. Taj anyways has a reputation of taking utmost care of its guests and this can be seen, felt and experienced. right from the minute you enter the restaurant, you are greeted warmly by the staff who quickly help you locate the table and ensure you are comfortable. just tell the captain what your preferances are and the entire team will work towards making the dining an experience to cherish. Rohan - who is the restaurant in charge is a very polite, humble and warm person. Once you are a guest in his restaurant, you will want to come back for more to interact with him. Have dined at China Inc 2-3 times but looking forward to dine there more often.
They need to work on the service part. The pickup is not happening well. Dishes reach cold to the table. Nice ambience.
We visited the restaurant with a lot of apprehension as it's not publicized at all.The decor is new and exciting. The ambience soothing. The service excellent. The vegetarian menu was refreshing. The steamed dimsums with edamame and truffle filling were excellent. So was the Singaporean rice noodles and the manchow soup.Theplace is expensive but then it's the Taj.A must try for special occasions.
This was my first visit and was suitably impressed by the ambience while being escorted to our well laid out table. Though the service was impeccable, but my taste buds were not tickled. The preparation could hve been better.
Visited for lunch on a weekday. You may want to make a reservation. Compact exotic menu needs help from waiter in selection. Super courteous service . Serving & taste of dishes and serving time as expected in Taj Hotels. Prices may seem on higher side. Little exercise needed to reach due to traffic regulations. Overall good experience.
