Upon entering the dragon adorning the ceiling in a twirl of gold made of 6171 crystal clear and lilac hand-blown glass and bulbs leaves you staring in awe for a few minutes as it could be the envy of any museum! Moo shu lamb is an intriguing dish that should not be missed as the elusive fragrance of spicy garlic cuts the heaviness of lamb in a remarkable way. Other must-try includes the peking duck and the braised eggplant in a chilly yellow bean sauce. Apart from this, there is an extensive range of traditional dim sums though not off the traditional trolley, but with attentive and friendly waiting staff at hand. Desserts are a pleasure from the good old date and banana pancakes to the sophisticated toffee made of dark chocolate or just indulge in some chilled rambutans. All in all, the Sichuan, Cantonese and a few specialities from the xiao long bao from the region of Shanghai are presented with refinement. If privacy is required there are two private dining rooms available.
The food was nice but not exceptional compared to other Chinese restaurants. It was very expensive though and nothing really stood out for me. They get busy on the weekends and perhaps a bit overwhelmed as the service slows down. Still, a nice place.
Vegetarian Food was our requirement and knowing that this was an issue with most Hotels serving chinese not only they met our expectations but exceeded that as we needed more customisation. This is not our first visit but every time we find the quality as excellent. Their tofu is silky as possible.
We went to the Chinese restaurant on our last day and had a fantastic sweet and sour with noodles. The ceiling lights were a bit odd and they looked like blown up condoms. Will return but next time, will try not to look up when i eat.
Attended a special dinner for speakers and management of a conference I was attending at this hotel. The set menu comes as an endless option with more food being sent at your request from the set menu. Additionally we ordered from the alacarte menu. Excellent prawns and squid. The chilli chicken was excellent, deceiving cool in its ‘hotness’ until the following morning!!! The waiters were excellent - on the ball and always ready to assist. Beer was good, as was the wine, albeit the latter was just a little expensive. Would be happy to dine here anytime. Wonderful experience.
We were visiting China Inc after a long time and the restaurant was buzzing with activity at 10:00 pm. After placing our orders for some wine we decided to dig into some starters which was prawn, fish, chicken dim sums and some chilli pepper Tofu which was outstanding. Before ordering the main course we ordered the Chicken Manchow soup which had some great flavour and was brilliant. For the main course it was Chilean Sea Bass,Diced Chicken with bell peppers in black bean sauce and some stir fried greens. To go along with this Spicy chilli garlic noodles and Singapore fried rice. As usual the food was filled with flavour and the service at the restaurant was made even more special by two young service staff Apoorva and Akshay.Their recommendations were brilliant and their service made even better. A lovely evening!!!
