This may be the city's most appropriately-named restaurant. It used to be Tiffin which saw some of the worst tragedies of the 26/11 attacks. But like the Phoenix, after whom it is named, the restaurant has risen anew to become one of Mumbai's favourite hotel dining options. It is the hotel's casual dining restaurant, but is not your standard hotel coffee-shop because it serves an international menu of very high quality food.
*Brunch at Fenix* Took my family out to the beautiful Sunday brunch this past week. We decided to spent the afternoon at Fenix restaurant which is known for its excellent spread and top service. Must say Yogesh did a wonderful job in ensuring we have an excellent afternoon. The team there is very friendly and attentive and I came across two gentlemen Dhwaneil and Priyadarshan who made sure our lunch was one to remember.
*Sunday Fun-day* My children and wife decided to visit the Fenix for their brunch and it is then when we realised what we were missing out on. The food is nothing short of International standards, and the service is the best to match. Kudos to the team at Fenix and Team Oberoi continuing to wow us
Years after years this place keeps an exceptionnal standart of quality without overdoing it. excellent menu and do not resist the Bread butter pudding - the best in the city !

Lunch at The Oberoi The Hotel is promptly located at the promenade in Nariman Point. Beautiful location and surroundings close by to the major offices and courts of law. I used the Business Centre, along with lunch at Fenix and was treated to the best possible experience I had over the recent past. Sashwat and Roshan took great care to ensure that the food quickly arrived on time, considering we were a large group of around 20 people and needed the food to be served at the quickest possible time. Great choice of dishes and Hotel well equipped with hosting any major corporate meeting or arbitration. Highly recommended for future visits as well
Dining scene in Mumbai is vastly different from any other city. The immense amount of hotels dotted all around the city welcomes a pleasant change and diversity to the city’s gastronomy. They bring with them a plethora of cuisines picked from all around the world, giving their patrons a chance to wine and dine on some of the most excellent of fares. For a hefty chunk of money these restaurant deliver on authenticity plus high quality, not to mention a complex layer of flavours. Counted as a popular fine dining space with businessmen and families, ‘Fenix’ stole the show instantly after its rebranding. Since its tragedy as Tiffin, Fenix has emerged only stronger and has made The Oberoi, where it’s housed, proud. It enjoys a prime setting of Nariman Point in Mumbai.
Fenix is many things to many people. For some it’s a coffee shop to hold casual rendezvous, for others it’s an all-day restaurant that remains open any time of the day or night. No matter what your requirements are Fenix will deliver on it promptly. As it receives an eclectic mix of clientele with varied palates and needs, Fenix practices a multi-cuisine menu to satisfy all. To kick-start the menu order some appetizers, such as, soft shell crab spring roll, salmon sashimi & tuna tartare, thai pomelo salad, pathar ke gosht, chicken broth, lobster tempura, edamame, yaki tori, pan fried Japanese dumpling and salt & pepper soft shell crab. Move onto the delicious mains next , teriyaki chicken/salmon/black cod, slow cooked pork belly, trilogy of lamb, Burmese khowsuey, pan seared red snapper, hyderabadi khatti macchi, prawn patio, fish n chips, mushroom tart and Delhi lamb stew.
You can drop in anytime of the day or night to munch on their sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and pastas. Tickle your sweet tooth by ending this lovely meal with some delicious desserts. Caramelized lemon curd tart, warm chocolate fondant, coconut & jaggery crème brulee, warm apple crumble, bread & butter pudding, home-made sorbets, malai kulfi and passion fruit pannacotta will do wonderfully. Fenix is created on modern elegant lines with minimalistic approach as far as their décor is concerned. Bright red sofa chairs and pair of modern paintings on the ivory walls are their only claim to colour. The interiors are good-looking, stylish, subtle and refined. Fenix is expensive but that’s understandable.
