4.2/5

While the chic décor of this spacious Pan Asian bistro is impressive, the ambience does not exude the glitzy vibe one associates with this brand. The contemporary twist and characteristic innovation in the dishes on offer in the vast menu are enticing. The bar at one end is well-stocked and the adept bartenders serve cocktails with a flourish. The 'Nigiri Sushi Tree' with varied offerings like smoked avocado, maguro, hamachi, is a great way to start. Technique apart, it is the freshness of the ingredients that make these standout. The tapas style dishes, with varying flavour profiles, are a treat for the palate and perfect for sharing. There are abundant vegetarian options and the chef unleashes his creativity there too with the choicest fare. 'Sushi Burger' with pickled vegetables, Philly Aioli is worth a try. 'Gong Bao Prawns' and braised 'Lamb Chops' are the perfect choice for carnivores for mains and pair well with the spinach and corn fried rice. Among desserts, try the light 'Vanilla Pannacotta', 'Lemon Genoise'. The service staff is exceptionally well-trained and alert. When in doubt ask the service staff for recommendations. Ask the bartender to fix you a cocktail as per your palate preference.

Best place for Sushi

If you are a lover of Japanese food then this is the place to go to. There are times that I go to Papaya only for Sushi. Be it Sushi or pork or cocktails, all the food here is great. Would definitely recommend this place as a must try

Very Creative Chef

I was most bemused with the dish crispy lotus steam it's sounds likea simple veg dish but it's so super amazing in terms of the way the chef dealt with the flavours. It was sweet and spicy and was served with whipped cream something I would have never imagined. Other than that lamb rendang was the most satisfying main ever, the meat was so well cooked and the gravy was so rich with flavours. 5 stars for the chef for creativity, taste and presentation. 3 stars for the staff as we didn't were not taken care of that well, we had to request for everything more than couple of times. So it averages out to 4 star. Ambience was very nice, music could have been little less loud. I almost missed mentioning a dish which had octopus and chorizo another unimaginable combination. Great Work by the Chef!!
