The establishment hosts three multicuisine buffets every day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Fresh cold cuts, gourmet cheeses and exotic fruit and vegetables facilitate whipping up an eclectic salad of one’s own, and the plethora of breads is a major plus (do not miss some of the most pleasingly buttery, flaky croissants around town). For breakfasters, the waffle counter and the English breakfast section should not be missed, while the South Indian fare almost always hits the spot. Lunch and dinner buffets offer Indian, Continental and oriental options, with a repeated trope of Marathi food, such as kombdi vade. The menu varies widely, so it is hard to pick a constant favourite, but one thing you can be assured of at a meal here is an ever-changing diversity of choice.
There are thousands of restaurants in the city but Spice Kitchen is among a handful of restaurants in Pune which my family likes. We frequently visit the restaurant and celebrate all events and important occasions there. Chef Rajan takes great care of us and ascertains that the dishes are perfect and as per our requirements. Looking forward to our next visit very soon.
Honoring our request for a Pork feast ,Chef Rajan K from Spice Kitchen at JW Marriott had planned a wonderful dinner espcially for us, A basic 4 course meal started with , 1) Spinach Lentil Soup : the perfect stomach warmer after a hectic work day 2) Brazilian Pork in Homemade BBQ & Red wine Sauce served with smashed purple potatoes : now this was my first encounter with purple potatoes (and I thought they were smashed potatoes with cranberry sauce) so the first gulp was a confused one but eventually you start to love it as it balances the exclusive soft pork belly with skin on ..the pork is way different from what you would get in our stores.... 3) Pork Chettinad with Masala Nan : You can get the pork from Brazil but you cannot get the love for Indian spices out of an Indian. so here was something homely with a punch of spice ,curry leaves and good old Indian Pork. Though it was had less curry or masala to be had with the Nan,the combination was aflatoon! 4) Sweets of the Day : Moong Halwa with Kaju Katli & Baklava. Chef Rajan was kind enough to wait for us an hour more than his shift for this special small dinner and he made sure we had a good discussion along with the food he has prepared ! Cheers to the Chef! Its truly unbelievable how Spice Kitchen has progress through the years. I still remember that about 5 years back, the restaurant was good.. then great and now its super outstanding..! The management is very efficient and they handle situations quite efficiently, considering the restaurant is quite crowded during peak hours. The staff at Spice Kitchen is excellent. I have always loved the food there. Top quality and delicious. Huge variety in their breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. And an attractive à la carte menu as well. The restaurant has some world class chefs. Chef Rajan, Chef Gagan, Chef Kaustubh and other superb chefs make an amazing team, preparing some of the finest dishes in the world. Spice Kitchen truly deserves the "Pune's number 1 restaurant" on TripAdvisor, thanks to chef Rajan for his tireless efforts and the one who impresses even the toughest of critics. Keep it up ! - Dr. Viraj.
Lots of options offered. I tried the continental fare. Food was very tasty. Dessert options were delicious. Good ambiance and excellent service.
There is always a need for more family-style fine dining spots in Pune. With bars and youthful cafes swelling in numbers, family preferred places sure come in handy when you want to take your family out for a special dinner. Fancy five star hotels may be heavy on wallet but they have best of both worlds. They provide a global menu served in a classy presentable ambience, ideal for families. JW Marriott Hotel on Senapati Bapat Road is home to its popular all-day dining restaurant, ‘Spice Kitchen’. The restaurant is the perfect blend of affluence, formal and proper background one needs for family occasions. Spice Kitchen provides all that. It remains open 24X7 so you can waltz in anytime for a hearty filling meal with or without family. The place is especially sought after by businessmen and in-house guests.
The menu of Spice Kitchen is a varied one, covering a multitude of cuisines from all over the world. Italian, Asian, North Indian, South Indian and European, all are available here and cooked to perfection. Dining here doesn’t come cheap so be prepared. Keep an eye open for their buffets, which you will find to be lavish as well as economical. Breakfast is quite a thing of beauty, don’t skip. Diverse choices keeps the interest alive every time you visit. Pair your drink with the appetizers such as, murgh reshmi kebab, Thai spring rolls, traditional fattoush, sesame chicken fingers, lagan ki boti, dahi pudina ke kebab, parthdar paneer tikka and tandoori jhinga. Fill up further on, ham & cheese sandwich, chicken tikka pizza, whole wheat penne in pesto, Thai green curry and nehari gosht.
Pamper your sweet tooth with an assortment of delectable desserts. Soft centred chocolate cake, warm apple pie, kulfi, New York style cheese cake, dates & toffee pudding and gulab jamun will do beautifully. Spice Kitchen looks exactly like every other hotel restaurant, only it’s much more airy due to large plate glass windows on one side of the room. The restaurant is generously spacious with formal dining tables added to it for proper sit-down meal. It is cheerfully lit with bright lights and there is plenty of space to sit around comfortably. Spice Kitchen is ideal for a fail-safe dinner with loved ones.
