Blue Ginger at the Taj West End continues to draw its loyalists and regularly has something new on offer. Step across the little wooden slate bridge that takes you from the walkway to the restaurant and you enter an Asian oasis unlike any other. Whether by day or by night, the ambience can be brilliant considering the water bodies and greenery around. Check the meat and the vegetarian tasting menus that give you a comprehensive look at the offerings at the restaurant. Start your meal here with the classic 'Green Papaya Salad'. The 'Fresh Salmon Rolls With Roe' make for a great starter. You will also like the 'Fried Lotus Stem With Butter Sauce'. For the mains, you can choose to go with the 'Yellow Curry' along with 'Jasmine Rice'. The 'Tofu And Okra in Black Bean Sauce' is a good choice as well. You could also give the 'Chicken In Lemon Grass And Chilli' a shot. The 'Fried Prawns With Sesame On Stick' is a fun, good tasting dish, which will keep little ones at the table quite happy. Do make it a point to have the sorbets that are offered as palette cleansers. For desserts, you can try the 'Philadelphia Baked Cheesecake' with 'Cotton Candy Icecream' as well as the 'Caramel Walnut Pie'. You could also try the 'Chao Gio', 'Fried Spring Rolls' – in chicken or in a typical classic, with water chestnut and bamboo shoots. What you will love are the accompanying sauces that are so hard to decipher, but which elevate each dish. The Blue Ginger makes some mean Pho too.
