Intemperance and extravagance a gorgeous zenith of the lavishness of the former Indian royalties and the fashionable Indian design, reflects as one enters. Most dishes served have a balance of flavour and texture, the exquisiteness of simplicity, and the understated sensuality with well paired spirits and wines. Try the vodka infused shikanji, flavoured iced teas, and mojitos made with seasonal fruits. On the food menu here is the best of kababs, curries and breads. For starters, do not miss out on the ‘tandoori jheenga’, and the ‘nukti kabab’ a perfect blend of aromatic and robust spices, done to perfection out here. Vegetarians would love the ‘palak ki asharfian’ a house creation by the chef, which is basically a spinach cake blended with apricot, betel leaf, khoya and pine nuts. The Daal Dilli 32 which is stewed for 48 hours with home churned butter is to die for. Do try the gucchi Zaffrani, exceptional Kashmiri morels in piquant gravy, best harmonising with hot and fresh Kashmiri naan. To end on a sweet note, try not to miss the fabulously creamy ‘kulfi faluda’ this is a true bounty of subtle almond and sandal flavours or the ‘hari mirch ka halwa’ which far from putting off, might win a few converts yet.
food was awesome. must try non veg food.good staff .fast services with good live music chefs are also good .
I will count Dilli 32 as one of the best dine-in experience restaurants in Delhi-NCR. The Leela Ambience Convention Hall is a luxury hotel in Vivek Vihar. It is near Yamuna Sports Complex. The accessibility is not very easy here. It is better to go by your own conveyance or hire a cab. But you must visit Dilli 32 to have a great dining experience. Because the philosophy here is slightly different from other places. The first priority here is to relax and enjoy. And for that, there is live music. A couple that sings quite well is there to honor your requests. So if there is any Bollywood or non-Bollywood song including Gazals that you have in mind, they sing it for you in their sweet melodious voice on your request. Secondly, the staff though is around you but doesn't poke you too much for taking the order. In fact, it is your call whenever you would like to order. So you are free to enjoy live music and lively environment before placing and order, after placing your order till you get it, and during having your meal. But to start with, there is always a light snack of the day that comes automatically. In addition, a basket of pappadums (papads). Like the day of our visit, the light snack item was Moong Daal Laddoo. Overall, the atmosphere is quite noiseless around, of course, other than the music. Therefore, enjoy music to its fullest. The ambiance of Dilli 32 is quite vibrant thus transmitting a right kind of energy around. And when you enjoy a song, don't forget to honor back the singers by clapping and cheering them. The Chef of Dilli 32 is quite particular about special regional delicacies of India. He admits that a right mix of spices is very important for any recipe. A small disproportion can altogether change the taste of any dish. We had Bhuna Paneer Tikka, Makai aur Akhrot ki Khaas Seekh, Palak ki Asharfian, Arbi ki Shammi, and Soya Kat a Kat. The Palak, Makai, and Paneer Delicacies were fabulous but winning with a very little margin over other. In the non-veg starters don't miss Nukti Kebab, Peshawari Seekh, and Chatpati Macchli. In veg mains, I would love to recommend Dilli 32 Daal and Lasooni Palak. While in the non-veg main course, my favorite dishes are Jheenga Kali Mirch, Nehari Gosht, and Tawa Murg Aminabadi. Overall, Dilli 32 is always a sweet experience.
I had gone for Grand Trunk Culinary Journey - Kolkata cuisine. The food was highly delectable. Loved what I had there. The food was nicely prepared and presented. It was mouthwatering. Service was impeccable. Just loved the food. Gondhoraj Ghol was a unique combination with buttermilk and lemon. This was a classiuc combination! Vegetable chops were delicious. Chholar dal was Chana dal with shredded coconut. Thewwhole ambiance was set up up to give a feel of Kolkata . Serving staff wore Bengali traditional clothes. Overall a superb experience! This food actually made me curious to visit Kolkata and have food.
At times i feel that we don’t open up much and travel just a few miles to look for food that we actually want to eat (except for home). A hunger which at times can only be satiated with a curry that has taar( viscosity ). No, i am not referring to nihari , but talking about tar korma which is a speciality of Rampur and can only be found at one place in Delhi i.e. at Dilli 32. I can say this with full conviction that when you talk about Awadhi cuisine and rampuri cuisine, unfortunately, we don’t have any option in delhi. This cuisine not only requires finesse but a specialised skill to cook such kind of meals. Chef ashwini kumar singh is the only chef in Delhi who can actually do justice to such cuisines! maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in, I have been enjoying food at Dill 32 for more than a year now, and also been part of their GT Road Culinary Journey which started last year from Amristar, then came to Delhi , then Banaras and now has reached Calcutta, the last destination. Over the last one year I have seen Chef Ashwini’s research and then his work on each specific dish for the festival. At the time when the whole world was busy either doing experiment with fusion or with modern presentation, he is silently promoting Indian food in its real Avatar. No fusion, no modern presentation and no gimmick. His passion and in-depth research on food make his food so close to the place that at times I wonder how he does that. Now GT Road Culinary journey has reached its stop i.e. Calcutta and I was very excited to try the food. Like every time they did a fantastic set up of howrah bridge, tram and other things which take you along on your journey to Calcutta. Bengalis are known for their lavish spread and I guess they are probably one of few that culturally follow ‘course’ while eating. Shukto or bitter is the first course which helps us to cleanse our palate so that we can enjoy our meal. maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in,All the chops which I tried, aloo chop, mutton chop and mochar chop were outstanding. There is much more to it. Since its part of the buffet, I would suggest you try everything. Since its Bengali cuisine, I would suggest you should try their entire fish curry from bhetki paturi( steam fish), chingri malai curry ( prawn malai curry ), pabda sorche jhal ( pabda fish in mustard paste ), macher jhol ( simple fish curry ). Kosha manghso should not be missed and goes the Calcutta biryani, one of the finest biryani I have ever eaten in Delhi. Even the other Bengali places in Delhi fail to make this kind of biryani. maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in,There is so much to explore and eat that it is extremely difficult to jot down the details and share the wonderful experience! The passion of chef Ashwini and his creation has to be experienced and hence you should go for this festival. This festival is the finest blend of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Like I shared, Bengali meal follows a multi-course tradition where food is served course-wise usually in a specific format, you should got to Dilli 32 to experience what a Bengali feast is all about! I would also like to add that after eating at Dilli 32 for over a year and having experienced a different kind of festival, I can say with confidence that Chef Ashwini is the best Indian chef Delhi can ever get.
We enjoyed the most expensive non veg set menu. It was delicious and also had some reasonably priced Sula white wine to go with it. Service was friendly.
