About Kiyan , The Roseate, New Delhi
A good ambience can overshadow a lot of things, even the food. The moment you walk in a well decked up room, you become overwhelmed by the décor so much that rest of the things fade away. But let’s admit it is a combination of all three things – food, ambience and service. Today we are targeting a stunning property that not only is breathtakingly beautiful but has a charm to make a fan out of you. This place is a little bit further than Delhi, near 21st Milestone, Rajokri to be precise and is a perfect getaway from the hustle-bustle of noisy Delhi. ‘Kiyan’ is part of The Roseate, one of Delhi’s most loveliest hotels and seems like a cross between a luxurious villa and a swanky boutique hotel. The ambience of Kiyan is exquisite at best. Expect glamour, splendour and luxury all rolled into one.
Décor of Kiyan is made in such a way that it simply steals your heart. The Roseate is a beautiful property set in middle of a green pocket and designed in such a way that it brings the outdoor beauty in. Wide picture windows flanks a stylishly decorated room, which is quite spacious and contemporary in approach. Metallic coloured booths in circular shapes dot around the room, including some small formal tables for a more proper dining. Kiyan is just perfect for impressive business dinners when you want to show-off or for quaint romantic meals when ambience counts. The best thing is Kiyan remains open all day long and is operational for breakfast too. Though it is an expensive place to dine, it does carry some exquisite charm.
Keeping the high upscale clientele in mind, Kiyan practices a very global and varied menu. Cuisines like European, North-Indian and Thai are beautifully prepared here but their Thai food is simply outstanding. Pair a bottle of red wine with their scrumptious appetizers such as, tom kha gai, khumb palak ki tikki, tom yum goong, Thai fish cakes, wild mushroom soup, sarson mahi tikka, yum nua, Issan style raw papaya salad, Hyderabadi pathar ke gosht, goat cheese salad and roasted tomato clementine soup. Feast on main like, phad thai goong gai, murgh ki chaamp, makhan malai hing aloo, sous vide cooked chicken breast, roll up lasagne, braised lamb shank nihari style and pizzas. Try out their sabudana kheer – divine!
