This was originally planned as an outpost of London’s Michelin-starred Kai till the owners realised that Indians needed a more varied menu. So even though there is a chef from Kai and a consultancy agreement, Chi Ni is very much its own place. You’ll find Kai’s emphasis on presentation but the menu has many Hong Kong favourites and there are concessions to the local diner in terms of menu favourites but the flavours remain entirely authentic.
Its an amazing Chinese fine dining restaurant so conveniently located on NH-8, let me warn you its a fine dining Chinese place, not sino-ludhianvi. all authentic cantonese & mainland Dishes, slightly expensive though but nice place to throw a party with your friends & family
Dusit devrana is at an amazing location considering its proximity to the New Delhi international airport. The rooms are all smart controlled, that is, with a single click of a button on the ipad they provide, you can accomplish multiple tasks. They are all furnished well and spaced out. The overall ambience, the lawns, pool are all well designed and decorated. The hotel services are commendable. You would be well taken care of by the amenities and staff the hotel provides.
I have been trying continously to make a booking in the hotel, but the atonishing fact is that the rooms are available but still the reservation staff is not able to convert the bookings. The lady named Komal wass the one i had a word with on the day one. Our discussion concluded to the answer that I will get a call back in sometime from her. But after waiting for long i called the hotel back and got the answer that she has already left for the day and the guy who told this to me was supposed to call me back in 10 mins after confirming the details from Ms Komal, which he eventually failed to. Next day i called the hotel again and she told me that the bookings will cost me an amount on which I asked if she could offer me something better as we were looking 4 rooms for 2 nights each. She failed to call back again. Day 3 when i recieved the call she did not gave me the complete answer and again asked to let me know by the evening. Evening when I called her back she was in converstion with some other client and asked me to call me back. But when i did not received the call i called them back and got the answer that she has already left and if I want to make quicker bookings I should rather mail my query to the hotel which I did. But the pain is that the person replying to the mail has no idea of what rate she has offered me already. In all i have been trying to book this since monday and being friday today also I have got no clue if the bookings are going to be converted or not. A big 🖓
The food was just out of the world. the chef 's I believe are from China. the menu and the preparations are very different and authentic compared to anything you find in the town. the prawn is amazing... highly recommended and a must visit.
My wife loves Chinese which is why we chose to eat at Chi Ni instead of Kyan, the other restaurant at The Roseate, the new incarnation of Dusit Devrana. It was a good decision as all the items we ordered were really good. It was Peking Duck as the starter and Wasabi Prawns and Sweet and Sour Pork as mains, which we had with the chef's special fried rice. The desserts were good too....one was a chocolate something and the other with yoghurt...both delectable. Our friends, a discerning couple who are widely travelled, were very impressed with the hotel (architecture, landscape and ambience) and described the food as "the best in a long time". The service was prompt and efficient. There weren't too many people at the restaurant, which is perhaps why. We also had a drink at the bar before dinner. The service there could have been swifter. I was relieved that I had made the right decision...it was my wife's birthday dinner and it would have been sad if things weren't as good as it turned out to be!! Thanks!!

There are quite a many Chinese restaurants in Delhi NCR that can simply take your breath away with their grandeur and gastronomy but no one comes even close to the loveliness of ‘Chi Ni’. Chi Ni is one of the prettiest dining spaces in the city and enjoys the luxury of the clever placement and ambience to the hilt. It’s located at The Roseate near 21st Milestone on NH-8, quite accessible if you’re commuting between Delhi-Gurgaon. Chi Ni was originally planned as an outpost of London’s Michelin-starred Kai and although it still owns a chef for Kai and a consultancy agreement, it is very much its own place. The restaurant redefines Chinese cuisine, giving it an extra edge of sophistication resulting in the restaurant’s popularity. Chi Ni has many unique features that makes it one of the best places for Chinese cuisine.
If you are aware of Kai’s menu and would like the chef to recreate any of its dishes, then ask. The chef will do his best to oblige you and pamper you with attention. One thing is for sure, you will not leave Chi Ni disappointed. Mock meats is Chi Ni’s most unique feature and allows the vegetarians to get a sense of non-vegetarian dishes without crossing the boundary. The menu is expensive but authentic. Start with, crispy spicy mushrooms, peking duck, soft-shell crab salt & pepper, poached fungus Jiang style, lettuce wraps, ash gourd broth, shrimp toast, wasabi mushrooms, aromatic crispy duck and soft-shell crab buttermilk goujons. Main course can be enjoyed with the help of fried rice or noodles. Sweet & sour chicken, Australian lamb chops, steamed lobster, three chilli shrimps, braised lamb shank Chinese style and creamy citrus shrimps.
Coddle yourself with an indulgence of scrumptious sweets after such a fantastic meal. The chef woos you with, senses of chocolate, caraibe fondant with salted caramel, apple ice cream sandwich, splendid yoghurt and Chi Ni chawal. Their innovation shines through the entire menu and complements the ambience perfectly. Chi Ni is located in a luxurious tent on the grounds of the hotel giving the diners a wonderfully unique ambience brimming with romance and splendour. Inside, the décor is formal and elegant. The best seats in the house is outdoors or, if they are full, right next to the window that overlooks the lovely landscape.
