    About Chinese

Delhiets love their food and know how to eat well which they do whole-heartedly. Though they enjoy all kinds of cuisines but Chinese food is closest to their hearts. There is something about a bowl of piping hot prawns in XO sauce with garlic noodles that simply uplifts the low spirits. And the best part is that the city has various places where you can go to satisfy your Chinese cravings. All those beautiful dumplings make your mouth-water? Then go and dip those wonderful juicy parcels in your tangy dipping sauce at your nearest restaurant. This is where we step in. To help you in your search we have compiled a selection of the best Chinese places in the city which you can explore with your family or friends. One of the most unique restaurants in the city, ‘Chi Ni’ is located in a luxurious tent on the grounds of Hotel Dusit Devarana. The food here is highly authentic made by the chef from Kai, a Michelin star restaurant in London. Chi Ni is an expensive place so go prepared.

‘House Of Ming’ of The Taj Mahal Hotel is where power dines. This restaurant plays host to some of the big shots in the political field and is their favourite destination for delectable Chinese. The chefs are flown in from China to retain the authenticity of the cuisine so if you are in the mood for some Chinese, come to House of Ming. Fortunately located ‘Taipan’ presides on the top floor of The Oberoi Hotel, enjoying an unbarred view of Lutyen’s Delhi. The restaurant is operational since 1980s and is considered to be one of the oldest restaurants in Delhi. It enjoys a steady flow of dedicated regulars who come in often for their favourite Chinese. ‘Woks’ at The Lalit used to be its popular Thai restaurant but since then the restaurant has established a name for itself in the city for mind-blowing Chinese food. Along with a spectacular view of the city, you’ll get a desi version of the delicious Chinese fare.

‘Jade’ of The Claridges is a stunning restaurant, made even more so by it’s very interesting and unique interiors. The presence of jade statues all over the room remains as the restaurant’s signature. The loyal regulars packs the place most of the time so don’t go without a reservation. ‘Yauatcha’ is the sister concern of London’s Hakkasan. Its location at Ambience mall allows the restaurant a more varied clientele. The interiors are edgy and contemporary much to the delight of the patrons. Do not leave without trying their dim sims. They are marvellous. ‘China Club’ at MG Road gets a fair share of corporate clients due to its commercial location. So the restaurant is immensely busy at lunch time. The food served here belongs to the Sichuan region and is quite spicy, appreciated by the accustomed Indian palates. All the restaurants above have formed the face of Chinese cuisine in Delhi so do visit them once for the sake of experience.
