The late Captain CP Krishnan Nair, whose dream project this hotel was, always called himself a gardener and Qube, his all-day dining operation, has the sense of being suspended in a garden. Large plate-glass windows overlook expanses of green, making you forget the madness and bustle of Delhi beyond the Leela's walls. The menu is sophisticated for a coffee shop: excellent Thai, Delhi's best burgers, and great steaks.
A lovely restaurant with pleasing volumes looking out on restful lawns. The breakfast buffet is superb with excellent service and a wide array of choices. It's conveniently located right off the lobby if you are meeting outside guests. Great dosas too.
I cannot rave enough about the fantastic food and staff at The Qube at Leela Palace. Each morning we went down to The Qube to enjoy an indulgent spread of cuisines from all over the world. The staff is especially good as well. Ankit would continually look after us and ensure that we tried delicious dishes from all over India and was a wealth of knowledge on the origins of the dishes. A must try!
Attention to details of their staff is their major asset! Try their "Chole Bhature" for breakfast, what a dish!
Qube is one of the most essential foodie experiences to be had in Delhi. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed; a huge double height hall with all-glass windows on two sides, overlooking a small elegant garden, with a lotus pond and lovely flowering plants and shrubbery. The appetisers are delightful. You are spoilt for choice, and keep wondering whether to indulge in seafood, sushi, eggs benedict, pasta, the lip-smacking cheese platter paired with grapes and crackers, soups or salads. If there is any room left for the main course after you've polished all of the appetisers to your heart's content, there are a couple of varieties of both veg and non-veg curries, with the usual breads. A good idea is to skip the main course, and let yourself loose on the never-ending row of exquisitely prepared desserts. And macarons! And fruit!! Add a refreshing glass of wine and this Sunday lunch will be something you'll remember for a lifetime! A great place to treat friends and family and celebrate all your special occasions too.
There were4 sevweral restaurants in the Leela palace, however, if you cannot eat hot / spicy food with chillies, The Qube is ideal as you can get a whole variety of contintal food. They eed to improve their Caesar salad as they are partial to mayonaise dressing rather than real caesar dressing.
Leela Palace hotel is one of the most luxurious and stunning hotel properties in Delhi. It is an origin of southern India so you would notice a lot of South-Indian influence in décor and grandeur. Not only is Leela Palace a spectacular hotel, it is also responsible for giving us diners a plethora of marvellous restaurants. But today we’ll rave about Leela Palace’s all day dining venture, which goes by the name of ‘The Qube’. Interestingly the owner of the hotel, late Captain Nair was a visionary who saw himself as a great gardener and this restaurant is the extension of his love. This glorious hotel is situated in Diplomatic Enclave, a posh and pricey part of the city known for its influential resident selection. The Qube is ideal for such a splendid backdrop.
Due to its high profile location, The Qube receives a diverse and affluent clientele. You will notice important businessmen, diplomats, travellers and even foodies as part of their day to day scenario. The restaurant is as luxurious as its home, revelling in the perfect setting made all the more fantastic by doing justice to its name. Fashioned like a glass cube placed in the middle of lush landscape, is how we would like to define The Qube. The restaurant is made entirely of glass walls overlooking the wide lovely garden entwined around the restaurant. Structure is modern with sharp metal chandelier, edgy formal tables and high ceiling. The vibe is trendy, classy, stylish and contemporary. As the evening falls the entire place comes alive with stunning lighting. Pick The Qube for a nice intimate dinner or even for a formal one.
The menu of The Qube is quite global, dabbling into various cuisines from all over the world. You can enjoy North-Indian, Italian, Chinese, Continental, Thai and Malaysian cuisine here. Although expensive The Qube is a good choice for more glamourous occasions. Begin with appetizers like, lehsooni tandoori jhinga, larb gai salad, vegetable dumplings, marylan crab cake, bedgi murgh tikka, tomato mozzarella pizetta, calamari & peach salad, keema aur til ki seekh, lamb satay with chunky peanut sauce and bharwan tandoori broccoli. Move along next with mains like, wood fired oven pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, risottos, rack of lamb, noodles & tofu, Thai curry, stir fried vegetables, phad thai, paneer hara pyaz, jhinga lazeez, crispy salmon and tow hu rad prik.
