Check out our list of micro-breweries in Bengaluru you should not miss this Summer

Who doesn’t like a chilled drink to beat the summer heat? As the temperatures are on the rise in Bengaluru, we’re sure you’d want to kick off your shoes and sit down with a summer cooler/beer. A recent count tells, that the microbreweries and pubs in the city are busy serving their own ales, lagers, and stouts along with fanciful summer cocktails that help you escape the heat and keep cool.

So, here are 6 such places to hop, sip, and chug your way to a beer/cocktail at these micro-breweries in town.

Brewsky

If you’re in South Bangalore, you must visit Brewsky. Cucumbers are wonderful in salads and in cocktails but equally great in beers, if done right. The Cucumber Saison at Brewsky is absolutely refreshing with cucumber notes dominating the aroma and a nice light sweetness with a very mild bitter finish. Also on tap - Belgian Blonde, Wit, Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen, IPA and a Smoked Stout. If in doubt, always ask for the sampler. If you prefer cucumber in your salad, try the blonde and if bitterness is your thing try the IPA. On to the food - their pizzas are excellent - a Simple Margherita or the Loaded Pepperoni and you can't go wrong.

The Biere Club

For any beer lover in Bangalore, The Biere Club is not a new name as it is the first Microbrewery of the city. Their craft beers (especially the wheat beer) are lovely, and you must ask for their special brew of the season. If you do not know which beer to go with? Order their samplers and decide. The Moscow Mule, made with ale and ginger ale, is a refreshing cocktail for the summers. To eat, the short eats are the best bet.

Brewklyn

This newbie’s beer is as winning as its ambience. It brings in an old-school pub vibe and pizzas done right by filling the microbrewery void in Kalyan Nagar. Set across two floors, there are all sorts of options here from bar side seating and community tables to booths and high tables. Exposed brick walls, graffiti, cement floors and retro music makes it seem like you’re in one of Budapest’s legendary ruin bars. Stick to Woody Ale’n – a pale ale that’s malty, bitter (the good kind) and earthy. The wheat beer, called Brewklyn’s Finest goes down smoothly with their wide variety of finger food.

Hoot – Café & Brewery

Sarjapur Road gets yet another brewery in the form of Hoot. This cafe would be the first in the Indian market that serves 500 varieties of beer and the legendary St.Martin’s, Abbey Beer. Before you find your favourite craft beer, you must try their mini tasters so as to narrow down your pint{s} for the night. To go along with the drinks, there’s a range of bar snacks. Moving away from the craft brews, you also have a great selection of beer imported directly from Belgium. Crazy, right? The mocktails and cocktails list are extensive with a few signature drinks such as The Patiala, Saffron & Sweet lime Daiquiri, Blood Orange & Mint, and Indian Inspired Street Food Martini.
