Collage is quite a looker. It boasts of suave interiors with a teppanyaki station as the focal point of the dining space and a serene verandah overlooking the lush green backyard. The All-Day Menu follows the familiar template and offers a mix of popular grub to meet the needs of in-house guests. Buffet is also available for all 3 major meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner). What sets Collage apart is its Japanese menu. It goes beyond sushi to offer a broader showcase of Japanese cuisine. If you’re a Sushi lover, opt for the platter, which is quite satisfactory. However, save some appetite for the other stuff. The teppanyaki station plays a central role; dishing out vegetarian steaks, tenderloin, salmon, and seafood along with staples such as 'Yakimeshi'. However, it is the little things that prevents me from going gaga over Collage. The first niggle is that you can not actually sit around the teppanyaki counter and interact with the Chef. Some of the choices on the menu are also perplexing; for example, the 'Miso Soup' is available only in a vegetarian avatar. And the execution is not always perfect – I have been served 'Teppanyaki Fried Rice' (Yakimeshi) that was sensational, as well as one that was under salted. The quality of service can also be very much a hit-and-miss affair.
