After scoring with his Indian places – Masala Library, Farzi Café and Made in Punjab, Zorawar Kalra finally takes the plunge into another cuisine. Pa Pa Ya is a modern Asian restaurant that seeks to do to East Asian dishes what Kalra has done so successfully (and profitably) to Indian food. So the sushi, served on an elaborate stand for the signature Sushi Matrix, comes with a twist (there's an innovative Carbon Sushi), the vegetarian burger (a slider, really) is made with edamame and chick peas with a hummus mayo on a lotus-root flour bun, the ‘pizza’ is Tuna Tataki, served on corn chips. But they will be much cheaper and may even be better. Plus there’s lot that the traditional hotel places have not yet thought of.

Zorawar Kalra after gifting the world with amazing eateries Farzi Café, Masala Library and Made In Punjab has done it yet again with Pa Pa Ya. Right now the restaurant only opens for dinner but soon it will start lunch service. Décor is complimentary of the contemporary food cooked at the restaurant with bright red walls and rather stunning looking edgy ceiling lamps. The very efficient staff is mention worthy. With their calm and cheerful attitude they elevate the dining experience of the patrons.

After exploring the Indian cuisine with his innovative ideas Zorawar Kalra has turned his attention towards Pan Asian food. With molecular gimmicks he uplifts the Asian dishes from their regular persona and what reaches your table is a platter of modern art. Sushi matrix is a fancy name given to sushi rolls perched on a wooden stand. Vegetarian burgers are given a facelift by usage of lotus root flour buns sandwiching the chickpea patty. Toy trucks come hailing carrying on their backs delectable appetizers wrapped in a paper boat. The sushi pizzas are presented on tortillas with lovely mayonnaise topping going down fantastically with the punters. Do try out their pork belly which is flavoured by soy sauce and cooked beautifully retaining all its juiciness. Water chestnut dim sums are another crowd favourite which is a must have. The whole evening you will keep on getting astounded by the level of creativity shown by the chef.

Flambéed rum ball and banana sweet dish with five different textures of banana are perfect way to conclude the delightful meal. Molecular surprises doesn’t end here. You will find the same finesse used in cocktails by the bartender. The classic drink lighthouse comes to you in an inverted lightbulb. The concoctions are dramatic and theatrical.
