The ambience is homely, easy Italian grub such as ‘minestrone’ and ‘fritto misto’ with a sideshow courtesy of the kitchen from which arise rather incredible pastas and risottos set the right mood. Lovers of cheese should definitely go for the cheese wheel experience, basically it is a full round of parmigiano-reggiano partly scooped out into a bowl. To use it, hot pasta is tossed in it while the cheese slowly melts and combines with the pasta…Mama Mia! The rustic bruschetta with burrata and fresh tomatoes drizzled with olive is an absolute must try. The food may not be absolutely authentic, but its hearty portions are bound to please. The ‘tiramisu’, a fluffy sponge collective with arresting flavours of espresso and cocoa, enveloped with mascarpone makes for a sweet ending, though I would like a little more coffee in it.
