The new and upmarket bistro offers some outstanding vegetarian, even vegan cuisine that is perfectly fit for the calorie conscious people today. There are enough options for vegan and gluten-free eaters as well. The breakfast includes a good mix of newer options like the ‘Tofu Akuri’ that is inspired by the Parsi legendary: Eggs Akuri on toast. Another interesting breakkie option is the Upma of ‘Quinoa and Broccoli’, this comes with spiked mustard and tomatoes. It is quite delish and you would not have tasted anything better in recent times when it comes to an ‘Upma’. The ‘Black Hummus’ and ‘Beet and Spinach Hummus’ are 2 of the most popular options when it comes to the appetizers. Each one special in its own way, the latter is what we love and highly recommend, it is served with a drizzle of olive oil and 'Multigrain Khakra Chips; this one is also vegan. When in season, try the ‘Watermelon Gazpacho’ which is a great rendition of the regular classic Gazpacho you may have had. It is served with wine vinegar and chia seeds. Then there are salads which are pretty common although well made and good on portion sizes. The mains include the 'Alternate Grain Pizzas' and most of them are even vegan. The ‘Pizza Verde’ is the one that is completely green. It comes with a Ragi base, topped with capers, spinach, zucchini, arugula and basil pesto. The other mains are inspired by Asian and Italian cuisine, largely. The ‘Bajra Riso’ is a rather unconventional take on the classic Risotto that is made with mung dal, spinach and green beans. Now, this is again gluten-free but some of you might feel you are eating a light salad with some greens in it because it may come across as pretty dry and not ‘saucy’ enough. The desserts are quite promising, mainly the ‘Valrhona Chocolate Pie’. This has been the favourite of most people here since the inception of the restaurant. The pie crust is made with ragi and the chocolate is sourced from Valrhona, certainly, the whole idea of a good chocolate pie has come true here. The ‘Almond Muesli Icecream’ is another stellar dessert.
