  • The restaurant serves beef and pork and in the case of beef actually goes to the trouble of asking how you would like it and then gets its right! Take them up on it
  • Their 'Flamed Platters' are very generous in size and if you are ordering them, keep in mind that they are good for 3-4 people at one go. Perfect to order in for a house party
  • Though the place does not serve alcohol, you will not miss its presence, as the food camouflages it beautifully

You know those times when you want to have some fuss-free good food, have just enough of options to make a good choice and then sit back and enjoy yourself? – Well, Once Upon a Flame fits the bill perfectly. If you are the kind that loves your 'Garlic Bread', then they serve up entire loaves of them in plain, cheese and mixed herbs and cheese versions. Their vegetarian and meat platters are the sizable and great deal for larger groups. Each of the platter dishes is also available as individual dishes as the 'Grilled Buffalo Wings', the 'Beef Tenderloin Strips' and 'BBQ Pork' need special mentions. The salads are quite hearty and refreshing and here too, the meat versions stand tall. If you are looking for hearty meals, then the 'Steak Pan Fried Rice In Pork' (or chicken, beef and vegetarian) is really good. You can also try the 'Steakalypse Now Steak' – a beef steak, done medium served with a chilli garlic sauce, with rice and mashed potatoes. The 'Bacon Penne In Alfredo Sauce' makes for a solid meal and the bacon used is a really good quality one. For desserts, I really liked the 'Lime Pie' as well as the 'Baked Cheesecake', though the latter is not really a cheesecake per se. Overall, you can be assured of a great meal each time.
