We are usually quite familiar with north Indian food in the city, what with scores of restaurants all over the place. Here too, it is a cakewalk. Pick a kabab and a shorba (the tomato and coriander, or the paya shorba, is good for nippy evenings) or a drink (avoid the cocktails if you can), move on to a curry such as the murgh dhaba special or a lal maas with naan or kulcha, and get a vegetable dish too (the sukhi bhindi or the paneer kofta being two such recommendations). They also have a lagan ki mutton biryani, if you’ve got the appetite for it.
